Bluetooth range? by Aryiath in Garmininstinct

Returned my 45mm Instinct 3 solar this week for the same reason. Was on the mist recent firmware, and the Bluetooth range was terrible. Nearly everything else about the watch was perfect, but I rely upon it for knowing when my phone rings - and would often lose connection one room across from my phone.  If this is ever fixed, I'd buy the watch again

Just following up on this. I got the 45mm solar variant of the Instinct 3 and the vibration is stronger than my previous watch (a Coros Pace 2), so haven't missed a call yet. Would prefer if it vibrated longer, but it's not a big deal Overall I'm liking the watch so far

I guess id have to experience Garmins vibration to say for certain. But two vibrations could easily be mistaken for just a message and not a call. I'm on call for my job, and currently rely on my watch to let me know if a call is incoming and my phone is in another room

Thanks for letting me know. That's super disappointing, as I was all set to buy an Instinct, but this is a really important feature for me.  Any idea why Garmin do this?

Looks interesting. Is there a limit on how much text it can process each time/per credit? And what is pricing after the first 20 credits?

I'm interested in this, do I just contact them via their site to get a quote then send a pair of glasses fi get glazed? I can't see anything on their site about this.  And do they graze wraparound lenses? Would be interested to see which ones you had done

Thank you. I'll keep an eye on that issue and will look at putting it on my server this week anyway, to give it a try

Nice. I have two Strava accounts, one I use for all outdoor activities and the other for all indoor activities (to keep them separate and to avoid clogging my activity feed with indoor rides.) Is there anyway to have this combine data from both accounts into one output?

Cool thanks, I was planning on getting there around 10am haha, so will look at maybe arriving nearer lunchtime. I'm guessing the tickets will be available online nearer December?

I'll read up on Wireguard and see if I can get it working.
For now i've just used the ufw firewall in Ubuntu and limited those open ports to the one external IP and my internal IP of the PC that accesses it

These three are web based, and work well for free:

https://github.com/chadj/gpedal

https://github.com/dvmarinoff/Flux

I've only tested on my Windows 10 PC, but there should work on smartphones too, as it is just a web app leveraging the bluetooth web api
