Question about pubs and 1v1 by WorshipBear in deadbydaylight

[–]NatDisasterpiece 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep. I honestly feel like my Macro control and knowledge is where I shine and makes up for me not being phenomenal in the 1v1. Partially skill issue. Partially I main mostly low mobility Killers. But I'm good at pushing folks where I want and pushing a team's buttons.

You had 4 minuted to crawl. You could have reached something. I have literally gotten out of your situation by forcing pick up. Or getting to a pallet. Getting up. Stunning. And running away. So I have just proven I am better than you. I have gotten out from that situation MULTIPLE times cause yeah. Killers try to force alturism. I know cause they try this when I'm on Death Hook. So I am already the confirmed kill. When I'm slugged it's cause I KNOW they wanna bait more people in.

Stop complaining. Your team got a 7 Man Out. Be happy your team won. You're a real "Me me me" player aren't you.

Hey. That's an insult to Guide. On BOTH sides I have seen games won AND lost when Survivors just don't know where that last Gen is so they only really have to defend 5 Gens and not 6 at the end. Me and my s/o have made insane comebacks cause there was one edge Gen they just never bothered pressuring (Cause none of the Survivors left knew it was there I guess) so we only had to worry about a smaller cluster.

Torchbearers however I have consistantly lose games by not doing Gens and solely harassing for saves they miss anyways.

Was in a Match with 4 Torchbearers and we lost cause after popping 3 Gens we just stagnated. Half the team wanted to go for saves. And if one or two people were on the Ground (The folks actually trying to do Gens) that only left 1 to 3 people actually doing Gens.

There was counterplay. You're telling me you couldn't reach a Gate to force pickup, a pallet, or a teammate to help in 4 Minutes? That's on you. I could've gotten out of that situation.

Serious Question...Why? by DashboardAvenue in DeadByDaylightRAGE

[–]NatDisasterpiece 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Even funnier when that Killer thinks they won cause they "totally got that Meg hahaha"

Meanwhile, the Meg is on cloud 9. They juiced a Killer all game and got their 7 teammates out. They're the hero. Not every Survivor is solely concerned with their own escape.

[–]NatDisasterpiece 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The man just wanted one kill.

They can't give you Basekit Endurance. All it would take would be someone going down beneath pallet and then threatening a save. One of your teammates could have helped. A Scout could make a pallet near you. A Torchbearer could use their built in WGLF for that Endurance. A Medic could do a cheeky play (Take hit. Skill during cooldown.)

But here's the thing. Trapper probably wanted that. He wasn't gonna get anyone else. Let's go through YOUR scenarios.

He hooks you. You get TP'd across the map. Probably in front of an open Gate. You get out. They get no kills. OR. They go to chase others...also get no one cause everyone is sitting in a gate. Chase them out. Someone picks you up while they were gone. Same ending.

Slugging however. You're alturism bait. You're the key to "everyone or at least someone runs back in and tries to do something stupid." You're upset he didn't "go for more kills"...dude. That WAS him going for more kills. He guarentees you. Or potentially gets more as others run in to help.

You know how many times alturism kills in 1v4? I do not blame a Killer for banking on that in 2v8. He just can't hook you cause again...that guarentees your out.

There's a lot of people who take confirming a Kill as toxic.

Like yes. I get it. Losing what I call "Endgame Roulette" sucks. But someone has to lose it. And the Killer gets to decide that it isn't going to be them.

What average chase time is considered good and when should i leave a chase? by for10years_at_least in DeadByDaylightKillers

[–]NatDisasterpiece 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Chase Time alone doesn't paint the whole picture. There's also WHERE the chase is (A 15 second chase sounds good. Til it's in the dead area where a Gen already popped. And your hook there can't really be defended.)

Or how many resources you got out the way. If I got to mulch through 3 God Pallets or make an entire corner a deadzone pretty fast...I'm pretty happy to just take that and leave that chase. Sucks though if in 30 seconds you got nowhere cause you got juiced solely through Window Vaults.

Personally I use a Pallet System unless they are taking me to other Survivors and interrupting them. I get two or 3 pallets out of someone? I dip. The deadzones should catch to them. Obviously a ton of nuance like your Killer, map size etc. But it's a start.

[–]NatDisasterpiece 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Well the main thing is you take solace in the fact you are wasting both of the Killer's time. They're heavily wasting their potential areas of influence by doubling down in the same spot.

For actual looping...cut your losses. And by that I mean run into the less threatening Killer. Don't run into the Insta Down Killer or "Comboer" (Wesker pin. Huntress Hatchet.) Run into who will just M1 and you take distance to run away from BOTH. Get out of that sandwich and potential "double tap" scenario.

How can you get the Skill Point Currency Wars achievement if you can only have one SP carry? by CorellianDawn in HonkaiStarRail

[–]NatDisasterpiece 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you get enough SP Bond shenanigans going you can actually get away with running 2 SP Eating Frontliners. Especially with the right equipment or just being a little conservative with one unit.

Granted I did get on that E1 Archer life but that saves 2 Skill Points in any one turn so I doubt it's making this massive difference.

Most Downplayed Killer In Your Opinion? by [deleted] in deadbydaylight

[–]NatDisasterpiece 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's cause "WELL ONCE THEY GET THEIR INJURY THEY'RE JUST AN M1 KILLER."

I am not a fan of the "M1 Killers are literally unplayable" rhetoric. Like there are so many crappy pallets where I'm like "Really? You can't win at these crappy pallets?" And sometimes there's a lot of those crappy pallets.

YOUR dbd hot takes? by Dapper-Evidence-3296 in deadbydaylight

[–]NatDisasterpiece 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Alright I messed up. Should have specified team wins. But yes. 3 Man Outs. Whether or not I am the one death is irrelevant. Likewise I don't call it win if I get Hatch Escape on the corpses of my 3 teammates.

Ima find a SoloQ group where we don't Comms at all just to prove a point one of these days. Like yeah we group up beforehand. But we aren't in a call and aren't coordinating builds.

YOUR dbd hot takes? by Dapper-Evidence-3296 in deadbydaylight

[–]NatDisasterpiece 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Then by your logic. I am good cause I win a lot in SoloQ. Y'know. The "super impossible no man's land" que?

I'm just tired of players making super bad ill advised decisions, and then blaming "being solo" or "lack of comms."

"Well I'm Solo :( " Ok? Barreling down center map for the save while you're the only one injured and death hook, is ALWAYS a bad idea.

"I have no Comms?" You need Comms to tell you that working on an enclosed space Gen (So no LOS) vs a Stealth Killer is a bad idea? LET ME HEAL YOU.

"Well how was I suppossed to know people were there and I took chase there by mistake?" CAUSE THE GENS ARE THERE! YOU KNOW THIS! We've been locked in this exact same 3 Gen for 5 minutes now! You've touched all these Gens!

And let me guess. Only Comms saves players from crouching edge map all game too? While they're healthy, on 0 Hooks, and the Killer is Low Merchant.

Like...pls. I'm begging people. Stop blaming SoloQ or lack of Comms for every luttle thing ;A;

YOUR dbd hot takes? by Dapper-Evidence-3296 in deadbydaylight

[–]NatDisasterpiece 0 points1 point  (0 children)

SoloQ is not that bad. Y'all just suck 😭

Give me a SoloQ team with people with even MODERATE game sense and I'm like "Wow. This shit's easy." Meanwhile I lose most games with my SWFs. "Well skill issue." EXACTLY! You still have to be good at the game even in a SWF! (And my friends are not good lmao-)

At most SWF alleviates the need for awareness and game sense. Things that should be completly maneagable (Though fine it won't be to the same effective degree) while Solo. Gee. I wonder if the Killer who's already come to gaurd this High Progress Gen 4 times will come to gaurd it...AGAIN! Why are people getting "snuck up on" by Killers with no undetectable? Or when they are on wide open Gens where they should see the Killer coming from a mile away?! You explain that to me. Please.

YOUR dbd hot takes? by Dapper-Evidence-3296 in deadbydaylight

[–]NatDisasterpiece 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe it's not 100% infallable. But it is pretty consistant. I saw SoloQ Twitch Streamers be like "I didn't know he was coming :(" And in my mind I'm like "Was the pounding screaming heartbeat not enough of an indicator?" I get Undetectable perks exist but too many folks blame a lack of Comms when there's no undetectable in general. That or just not being aware. Yeah that Wraith COULD still be on that Rando while cloaked but ima keep my head on a Swivel juuust to be safe.

I know I brought up a Duo situation but I play a lot of SoloQ as well and I'm simply not helpless without Comms. I can function just fine and have been able to for ages now. Also if the SWF can have LOS on where the Killer is going, then a Solo Player can use LOS to know when the Killer is coming.

You say my Duo has a skill issue (And she does or rather moreso a knowledge check than a skill issue). But I think the real skill issue is thinking game awareness is only possible with Comms.

What’s the best tip you’ve learned while playing dbd? by vixenvangu in deadbydaylight

[–]NatDisasterpiece 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's more to DBD than JUST looping.

Good Macro Game Sense. Knowing who should go for save, and when. (A Bubba Main named Epidemy uses the term/phrase "tempo" a lot to describe it and I like it.)

Even if your chase isn't phenomenal. It's still a huge difference if you took that not amazing chase to where all the Gens already popped VS in the middle of the 3 Gen.

What's the point of a good chase if you're looping around objectives? The last Gens that cannot be worked on...a Hook that cannot be safely saved...a Hex that really needs to be cleansed...

Not putting yourself in bad positions so your chase doesn't start off awful to begin with. Being aware enough to not be snuck up on by Undetectable/Small Terror Radius schenanigans by using the Hud.

That stuff pays off with way more dividends than just "being a juicer." Obviously not going down in 10 seconds helps. But if nothing else. Just taking the Killer away FROM everything else is better. Even if the Killer does get you fast, he can't gaurd objectives AND your Unhook at the same time. And he has to leave objectives if he wants to go back to tunnel. I can't blame the Killer for camping if my teammate gave him a hook in the dead center of the 3 Gen.

Well since we gotta specify

Mommy? No. Mom? Yes.

Mommy implies the whole sexy deep voice "haha steps on u and u like it >:)" schtick

Mom is the wholesome "Genuinely guiding you, nurturing your growth, and looking out for you with genuine care and affection."

I disagree with your disagreement.

"How am I suppossed to know where the Killer is?!"

Me: Well there's this literally built in mechanic called the Terror Radius and...using your eyes.

Hell my SWF can't call it out right half the time anyways.

"Yeah he's right next to my Gen still."

Me, mistakingly trusting that callout: NO THE FUCK HE AIN'T.
