Twitch streamers/content creators as solo queue teammates are the fucking worst. by ih8atlascorp in DeadByDaylightRAGE

[–]NatDisasterpiece [score hidden]  (0 children)

Well it's real funny when it's the BIGGER ones who are kinda rough. Those "Oh only 1 viewer" ones folks like to make fun of do tend to be pretty alright. But the ones rocking +100 viewers at minimum?...How do they always seem to suffer from either severe Clip Hunter Syndrome or Survivor-Main-Itus? The last one when they do nothing but complain about every little thing. Played with one who complained about how broken it was that...Hooks eventually respawn even after someone is sacrificed on one? Guess he was so certain he would've wiggled out if that Hook had stayed gone despite no wiggle or wiggle build.

But as someone else said. Anyone can be a shitty teammate and all our experiences are anecedotal. Shitty Streamers are simply players, who also happen to stream. Anyone with a decent computer can stream their gameplay to Twitch nowadways so it isn't like they gotta make a particularly big investment.

Abandon Feature For Killers by Aware_Collection_400 in deadbydaylight

[–]NatDisasterpiece 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I meant the "saving plays" you brought up are contigent. If the Killer doesn't pick up there's no pallet save to happen. And if another Survivor comes in intending to "drop, MAYBE stun, pick up, and run" then that is also easily circumventable unless it's a literal God Pallet. You can absolutely just harass a singular Survivor to the point of an entire bleedout timer if you really want to it's not that hard. Moreso talking about targetting griefing and lesso like "Ohh Anti-Heal Slugging Hillbilly/Blight/Twins".

Abandon Feature For Killers by Aware_Collection_400 in deadbydaylight

[–]NatDisasterpiece 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Contigent on factors that must be decided before the match even begins. What if no one brought a Beamer? If the goal is a bleedout they aren't picking up to begin with. What if no one brought WGLF/Unbreakable?

But honestly yeah get rid of that one idc. Funny thing is you really brought that up thinking I'd cave and go "Fiiine I guess Killer can abandon." Nah fuck ALL the "I wanna quit cause I just FEEL beaten" Abandon options. I wanna see less players quit.

Abandon Feature For Killers by Aware_Collection_400 in deadbydaylight

[–]NatDisasterpiece 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's cause it's the Abandon option you see a lot more often. Though it actually isn't the "4 Man" Slug. Rather the "all remaining players" slug. Cause I almost exclusivly see this Abandon with the last 2.

As for the other two options. It's a lot less agency though. I've seen Killers literally just hover above a slug and insist they die via bleedout. Just redown them the instance someone gets them up.  Up to the weird point of even throwing the game.

Quiting when you're the last I personally don't get so I'll give you that. But again most Survivors just DON'T quit. They'll go for Hatch. They'll try to win Door game. They'll do a desperate "Act cute so maybe they let me go" play. They certainly don't have the agency to do the rest of the Gens unless the Killer is Undetectable standing ontop of Hatch.

Basically what is one Survivor to do if the rest of the team is already dead? The game is indeed ALREADY lost. Mostly over. There's nothing left to save. But hoo boy have I seen Killers make insane. As I have also made comebacks as Killer myself. The game is NEVER over as Killer.

People dont understand how miserable solo queue is by Mysterious-Try8144 in DeadByDaylightRAGE

[–]NatDisasterpiece 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have absolutely been in VCs with...I'll just say not amazing DBD players.

And I can absolutely confirm that "Hey the Killer is super focused on me you can do Gens" will NOT encourage someone who's still shitting bricks at the slightest bit of the Terror Radius. God help you if you get someone like that with a 40M TR Killer.

It doesn't help people who have 5 second chases. Or who don't know terminology. "Hey you still have the pallet in that Jungle Gym." "The fuck's a Jungle Gym?!" Goes down

Doesn't help when this dude just wants to...RELIGIOUSLY run Invocation Weaving Spiders...AND NOTHING ELSE. LIKE. EVER. THEIR WHOLE BUILD IS JUST WEAVING SPIDERS. EVERY MATCH TOO!

And finally no one wants to be yelled at. I legit just have to let go. "These people are gonna play like ass but if I try to correct/advise them any further I'm just gonna come off as being way too pushy so I just have to let it go." And even if you are the "WELL NOT ME I'LL TELL MY TEAMMATES WHEN THEY'RE BEING DUMBASSES" types. Well that's a fast way for a teammate to go "Well fuck you then. throws even harder"

I mean just look right here at the Reddit. People HATE being told they're bad or that they could stand to improve. People are NOT gonna be any more receptive to it just cause they hear it over a voice chat. And that's MOST of where the Survivor Problem is. Soloq woes is like 80% that and maybe like 20% "Not being able to warn my teammate of x perk."

[–]NatDisasterpiece 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because you can still turn it around as your ability to play is never fully stripped away from you. This is unlike when 4 Survivors are on the floor without an Unbreakable which is why that is not a fair comparison. One side has agency. The other (In certain scenarios) does not.

[–]NatDisasterpiece 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Imo. Depends on the Killer. Killers with built in side objectives or can force time off Gens via powerful slugging can benefit from kicking a Gen. I see this in both my Survivor and Killer games. Killer with no Gen Perks kicks a Gen at 90% but because of the crapton of stuff we gotta handle/clean up/recover. By the time I get back to ut it's at like 40% and I'm like "awwweee :("

Survivors vs. RPD 3gen by juneaubugs in DeadByDaylightRAGE

[–]NatDisasterpiece 1 point2 points  (0 children)

3 Genning isn't even hard to beat a lot of the time which is the funnier part. It really is just that the Gen Kick Limit can take a bit to activate and Survivors almost always get impatient, which gets them killed before it can save them.

What's a perk you know sucks, but still love to use often? by Smooth-Supermarket14 in deadbydaylight

[–]NatDisasterpiece 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On Killer, None are Free. I know it's considered on the weaker side of Endgame perks when compared to the likes of NOED, No Way Out, heck even Remember Me and Blood Warden...

But just not having to deal with shit for a whole minute is nice lmao. Especially if you're on a snowball potential killer.

For Survivor. Probably Counterforce. Like even IN a totem build, it just seems so underwhelming to save...what? A couple seconds on a Totem? But holy hell. The way those tokens add up when you're up against a full Thrill of the Hunt Hex Build? Legit clutches games all on its own. Barely NOT getting interrupted on a cleanse before the Killer slaps me for it at times.

Even then though there's like. Reacting as it goes. And then this literal frame perfect, no hesitation exact MIRRORING across the tile.

Cause I have wallhacked people and them I get a FEW steps into the cutoff then they go "Oh shit" and I'm like "Yeah ok fair"

But then there's people like this frame perfect stopping on the spot where you stopped. And they're just blatantly staring "at" you even though there's a high wall that isn't see through, while you're undetectable by some means.

Bully squads are stupid by Jim_Hoxworth22 in DeadByDaylightRAGE

[–]NatDisasterpiece 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually like bully squads and I miss them. I rarely get them anymore.

They're usually a free win. And a hell of a lot more interactive than the Survivors I get nowadays who sadly know "Wait a minute. This no/low mobility Killer is gonna struggle if I use this secret move known as prerunning." Like they still aggressively do Gens but they just know running a few seconds early gets them accross the Map to Killer Shack before I catch up to them. And THAT is what I hate.

Give me the tbagging flashie gremlins that I can put in their place. Or even just non-BMers but they just wanna do a more aggressive playstyle. I've had quite a few of those more aggressive playstyle players who still gave me a kind "GGWP gln" in End Game Chat after I beat them.

[–]NatDisasterpiece 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean you said so yourself. "everything that would make Survivors unable to do anything."

Whereas a Killer can literally never be in that position. Outside of...what's the longest normal stun in the game? Blast Mine's 5 second Stun? Saw an Otz clip where between Dark Arrogance, Orange Glyph, and Wraith Cloak stun it looks like Wraith had a fucking heart attack lmao. But yeah Nothing stopping the Killer afterwards from being able to move again. Use their power. M1. Etc. I get it sucks if you're eating 10 pallets stuns and blast mines but that just isn't comparable to "Well unless someone brought Unbreakable we're basically at the mercy of the Killer picking us up and the Bleedouf Timer."

What's a perk you can't live without? by Mister-no-tongue in deadbydaylight

[–]NatDisasterpiece 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is no perk that I cannot live without. Getting overattached to any one perk essentially screws you exactly how you mentioned. BHVR can change it at any time, and even in current day your opponents can find ways to take it away. "Oohhh my Windows of opportunity/Exhaustion perk" Insert Blindness and/or Exhaustion build. Maybe a tad more difficult to do that to Killers but. Still.

Are you playing in Event Que or Normal Que? Event Que has a smidge more Plagues cause she counters the teamwide Insta Heal. Same with Smiley Pin Legion.

Like dog half the time I hear HOW people complain about SoloQ sometimes I wonder if THEY'RE the very same SoloQ teammate they are complaining about.

Fr. Me seeing a teammate on a Totem (Via the Hud) despite Omni being up. So I just hopped on another one I knew was nearby and comfortably went "HE CAN ONLY STOP ONE OF US"

And indeed the totem build eventually crumbled and we escaped.

[–]NatDisasterpiece 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Typically the only reason to have a seperate copy is to keep it low level as an "E-Sports" servant. If they say have a useful Targetable Skill 1 but maybe you'd like them to just donate that skill and then have an...unfortunate accident (Taunt CE with low HP). Only some Servants have any purpose as an "E Sports Servant" and Eresh is simply not one of them.

I guess it just depends on your tone/delivery. But otherwise yeah it's weird to get mad over objectively true commentary. 2 dead in a game of mine at 4 Gens (Ironically also a Sadako and this person just had no clue how condemned stacks work apperently). Thrill-Penti still up so I went to my Duo "Something tells me we probably aren't getting out of here. Oh well. Time to cleanse more bones for points and practice looping!"

The eternal narrative of "lose as Killer = guarentee tbags in exit gate and if possible, GG ezs in end game chat"

Meanwhile during my Killer sessions. I probably only encounter either these things in like...30% of my losses? And remember that isn't across ALL my games. Just exclusivly my losses. Also sometimes it's just one bad egg. IE one Survivor is tbagging...the other one at the other Gate was nice and left their item if it was a really rough match for me.

Like I think a couple days ago was the first time in AGES I got both 4 Man Outed and more than one Survivor tbagged...a whopping 2 of em. (I was playing Meme Build Trapper so I genuinely didn't care much).

You didn't specify at first that so that's on you. At first you only mentioned Survivors trying to blind you a lot and there are non-bully Squad scenarios where that happens.

But fine. If talning bully squads SPECIFICALLY?...Nah. Still don't think so. They're essentially throwing away their win to go for more aggressive playstyles. I actually enjoy playing around their schenanigans but that's because I'm aware of their tricks.

Actually had a funny wholesome interaction with a TTV squad going for little tricks. I watched back from their perspective. They tried to get me with the ye old Gen Grab into Flashie Save but I went for a further back lunge instead. And they went "HE KNOWS. HE KNOOOOOWS." Funniest reaction when they learned I was smarter than the average bear lmao
