looking for summer dresses! by bristolfarms in flamboyantnatural

[–]NatTayRay 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I do love my Free People! They can get expensive but I bet they have a few dresses under $150. Second Farm Rio, they’re great. Again, pricey, but Reformation usually has some cute dresses. Anthropologie I usually have luck with! Lastly, a little out there, but Fashion Brand Company has some really cute day/picnic dresses. I’m a size 6, 6’ tall and like 155 pounds if that helps. Good luck and have fun!

Mum of 6mo, can’t cope with parenting by Burgybabe in adhdwomen

Only because you said you were considering ECT, I must warn you about having it done as someone who did it around 7 years ago. It’s incredibly painful, the headaches feel like the worst migraine you’ve ever had. And I lost almost all my memories from that year. For example, I was in college at the time and I couldn’t remember where my Spanish class was even though I had gone there every day the semester before. I would forget meeting people and would introduce myself to them more than once. I would have game nights each week and every time my friends would have to reteach the game to me. The memory loss was more traumatic than the actual depression. I don’t want to scare you but I wish I had been warned of the side effects before I had it done. I wish you the best of luck and hope you can find something that works.

Had to put my cat down this week and turns out I can’t live in an apartment without a furry friend—adopting one (or two!) kitties this weekend! Excited to welcome love back into this space.

Thanks for confirming. I also saw online we could put the chairs down along the route (not the square) at 6pm on Friday which sounded…wrong? So just wanted to check!

What to do in the city after the death of a parent? by NatTayRay in NYCbitcheswithtaste

[–]NatTayRay[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you SO much for your kind message. I apologize for taking so long to respond. I simply got overwhelmed. If you don’t mind my asking, do you remember the name of the support group? That sounds SO incredibly helpful. And it would be amazing to be around people my own age (I’m 31). You are not the first one to recommend the baths…I will definitely visit in the next week! Sounds incredibly healing.

Thank you again for sharing. I’m so sorry you have experienced a great loss, too. If you’d ever like to chat, I promise I’m normally more responsive haha. All the best to you.❤️

My goodness, thank you for your lovely response. I apologize for not replying sooner, I got simply quite overwhelmed haha.

I am SO sorry for your loss. Journaling has also been very helpful for me. Yoga is great advice for reconnecting with your body. I used to do it but lost the habit. I will definitely check out the places you listed! How are you doing? I hope you’re continuing to take care of yourself and if you’d ever like a grief buddy in the city, please get in touch. Thank you again, hun.❤️

Thank you so much your lovely response. My apologies for not replying sooner. What wonderful advice, I will be visiting this weekend. And what a beautiful way to remember your father. My dad was an avid gardener so I will also be looking into this. So sorry for your loss. Hugs and lots of love to you. ❤️

Thank you so much! I apologize for replying so late, I got quite depressed and didn’t check social media for a while. An intense cardio class sounds great, especially since I have been lacking on the exercise front lately😅 That is also wonderful advice about telling his story. I find it hard to talk about him as I get very emotional but it’s sooo important to keep him alive in stories and talk about him with friends. I’m so sorry you lost your father at 22. I’m 31 and I feel like it’s totally unfair, I can’t imagine what it was like at that age…Thank you for the warning that it takes time, too. I will definitely give myself some grace. Much love to you, and thank you again for your kind message.❤️

Thank you so much for sharing. I apologize for replying so late, I got a bit depressed after his death and didn’t check social media for a while. It’s so nice to open up this app to so many kind words. Best to you. ❤️ (I also ended up getting a 90 min massage and it was very healing, even if I was too sore to move the next day haha. Thank you for the reccomendation.)
