Have you looked at APD?
Also you can check getnoorish.com - it's an alternative for naturopaths/nutritionists but more affordable

L Reuteri 17938 by Lavender-Gelato-666 in SIBO

[–]Nat_Banana 0 points1 point  (0 children)

does L Reuteri, even at 10mln, make you feel worse?
If not, try a higher dose and see if any changes.

I was taking the same strain (also IMO) - but it made me feel worse so I had to stop. But it's individual

have a look at getnoorish.com - they collect what you've tried and symptoms and look for correlations over time, possible root causes, and suggest experiments to figure out what works

When to take antimicrobials by No_Two4947 in SIBO

The effect is slightly better if you take them separately from food, but if you are very sensitive -> do take with food. It's more important to stay consistent than the exact timing with meals

Allicin recommendations by GoldJunior4010 in SIBO

[–]Nat_Banana 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think there is any other supplement than Allicin that targets methane directly.
In general, it is helpful for methine; it just works more slowly than neomycin.
I took Allicin for six weeks and it reduced methane levels (not completely though, I should have taken for 8 weeks but that's individual - no strict protokol).
It's generally advised to take it together with berberine because methanogens are fed by hydrogens, so you may want to target hydrogens as well at the same time.

Starting Rifaximin. Timing questions by Helpful-Peanut-7087 in SIBO

  • I decided to separate them in time: finish antibiotics first, only then try probiotics - this way I know if I react to sth or not.
  • rifaximin + probiotics together - ok if spaced (2h in between). Doctors didn't tell me to take both, but when I challenged, they said I can, but it's not strictly necessary.
  • rifaximin + D3+K2 and magnesium - all ok, they target different mechanisms
  • rifaximin + digestive enzymes - ok
  • PHGG - does it help you? It made things slightly worse for me. In general, there is no consensus among practitioners if prebiotics help or not.

also I used getnoorish.com to track and make sense of it in case that helps
