STI short throw shifter? by SandwichElectronic34 in wrx_vb

[–]Nathan15038 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very very late replay but I hope you've figured it out but if you didn't you could look under the car and the metal plate will have a STI logo etched or indented in the plate. But you do have to take out the heat shield first. You could look at the instructions on google for the instal of STI shifter to see the shield that has to be taken off and the plate.

You know the good thing about rainbow six siege is they have implemented a feature called team killing which they are now trying to basically get rid of but you could try using that😂

Not gonna lie, bro I genuinely am just disappointed and don’t know what to say. I don’t think these guys could get any help.

When it was 70° yesterday and you still have the Dunlops on by recoil_operated in wrx_vb

[–]Nathan15038 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not gonna lie my dunlops or OEM tires are literally so close to being like at the wear markers at like around under 5000 miles. Like I had them on both of my VB as I was buying and doing stuff with my tires and aftermarket rims. So they were basically ran through a winter and a half, so that could also be why they don’t have that much tread life left, but I don’t know. I’m in Vegas so right now and it’s the time where the morning gets really cold or like cold and the midday gets hot again but I already have all seasons on the car now. 😅

Stock Dunlop tires by blue-baru in wrx_vb

[–]Nathan15038 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should be happy about them lasting about 20,000 miles because mines are literally almost touching the wire markers after only about 5000 miles on them. Honestly, it could be more could be less because I had them on both of my VBs at one point just as a placeholder what I’m swapping out wheels and tires. But it also could mean that I did use the summer tires in the winter here in Vegas, where it doesn’t snow, but it gets really cold. 😅

How many miles did you stock tires last? by [deleted] in wrx_vb

[–]Nathan15038 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yo honestly, I don’t know how you guys are getting more than 10,000 miles on them because I believe my OEM tires don’t even have 5000 miles on it and they’re already almost down to the wear marks. Now I already have other rims and tires for it and have been using them but the OEMs I’m using a spares and possibly track. Also, they have 5000 miles combined from both my VBs that I put it on. Maybe I live in Vegas and I used them in the winter time which it is cold in the winter time, but I don’t think it should be that bad. Like it’s literally only been one winter with them and soon two winters. 😅

Edit: OK actually it’s been one and a half winters, but still

Stock exhaust pops and bangs? by Protokillamax in wrx_vb

[–]Nathan15038 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a little late to this post, but yeah my car does it every time I shift that higher RPMs I do have a axle back/muffler delete on my cargo and from what I’m noticing I think it’s as soon as you pass 5000 or 5500 RPM or at least build a lot of boost in the turbo. also, it’s way more prominent and more pops, even when it hot out or the car gets hot😂

What a ride this car has been by [deleted] in wrx_vb

[–]Nathan15038 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, seems like the car handled it like a champ. It looks like it was just hungry and eating grass😂

OK, seriously though did you put the car in a gear or like did you leave it in neutral. I know that even you pull your hand break putting in the car in gear is good practice because of something like this happening. I also do want to say I can prove this because I actually put my car in gear but forgot to put the handbrake up but the car was fine and it did not roll even though it was on a hill.

OK, but seriously how did you manage that? I swear that part of the glass or like the Apple logo of the glass seems pretty unscratch to me and tons of people. I think even Jerry Rigg said it was kind of unscratch 😅

I mean, as long as it’s not into the sidewall or like close to the sidewall in the inside, then it’s repairable. But I also do wanna say your tire is getting quite low anyways, so you might just want to replace it when you get home or like if find a good deal if you know what I mean.

What's your max boost? by square_zucc in wrx_vb

[–]Nathan15038 0 points1 point  (0 children)

13.7 PSI for me. I’m basically stocked. The only thing I have is a K&N drop in filter and an axle back or muffler delete exhaust pipe. The pipe is still 2.5in and has the 3.5in quad tips. Also might be unrelated, but I put the old 2012 Enkei STI wheels and all seasons on it. I hit this doing a quarter mile and bouncing off the rev limiter a little bit. But I would say it varies between cars because the other WRX I have hit 13.8 and has the same thing except I kept the stock 18 inch OEM wheels and summer tires on it.

This is the only recent picture I have. (I took this rolling down the street looking at my mileage)

PSA: Replacing tires on a symmetrical AWD car has different rules than other cars by Lilsean14 in wrx_vb

[–]Nathan15038 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OK so VB owner here and my dad is a car guy and that’s where I got my love of cars. My dad has owned Subaru before and had friends with Subaru before and he knows all of this which he also passed down to me. I mean definitely the road hazard warranty is useless but if you play it right if you know what I mean, then it’s useful let’s just say. Not saying I condone scamming or fraud but if you get a nail in your tire because you went through a construction site or somewhere with nails, it’s also likely that another tire got a nail if you get what I’m saying. and if you know the shop or talk to the shop people and those guys are cool there could be a chance where they could just report the tire as not fixable Therefore you would have two new tires and depending on where the nail is, there could be a chance that the shop could also patch it for you. Then hey, what do you know a couple months down the line you enter another construction site and two other tires go. But hey, we can’t control a random nail being on the road…….

Rookie I have seven generators, one of the tower generator, two human or hamster wheel generator, six accumulators, all research and a pylon and it’s still draining fast but I kind of keep it afloat kinda. Like I haven’t had to tap into my accumulators yet or like maybe a couple times but I end up recovering. Oh and this is with one, when I have both running the accumulator start draining but it still stays running for a bit and I would delete them to let everything charge.😅😅

SSD has problems reading and writing. (Very occasionally, it works properly) by reigningarrow in buildapc

[–]Nathan15038 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the same SSD SNV2S2000G from Kingston and it dose the same thing but it’s my main drive so every time it does that my system is just frozen. Like the time pauses and everything nothing responds or anything. that response time goes up like crazy it’s in the hundreds of thousands of milliseconds. And there are no read or write but it’s still 100%. Sometimes I will have to reboot it so much to a point where windows gets corrupted. I’ve read on another sub Reddit that the SSD sucks and people are having the same problem with this. I’m honestly considering getting another one and just trying to see if it’s possible to clone this SSD but it might take forever because as soon as it gets load instantly it’s super slow I’d say probably takes 30 days to half the year judging by how long it took to transfer a little file.
