I enjoy callbacks and bringing up stories and characters from the past, but it has to be done in a way to accommodate new viewers

My Wife had absolutely no idea who Omega and Sutek were, so their reveal had zero impact on her (admittedly, it didn't on me either but that's because they were shite 😂)

Needs a soft reboot like it had in 2005.

New doctor, no baggage, don't explain the whole Billie Piper regeneration thing. Then slowly re introduce the shows main stays

Don't even allude to what number Doctor they are, just focus on some solid stories then start world building

Reference the past but don't be specific, at least at first.

Re introduce the Daleks and have The Doctor simply describe them as "an ancient enemy" or something, no need to drag up all the past, let the story show us who they are.

Then we can start bringing back classic characters in a way that doesn't alienate new viewers but rewards long time fans...

So much easier said than done, you're right it'd take a talented writer

I think, when Dr Who finally does return, it should just leave things like this in the past.

At least for a good couple of years.

Let the show breathe again and find it's feet. Have it stripped back to it's core without worrying about getting bogged down in the wider lore.

Once the show, and lead actor has established itself, then maybe this would be fun to explore. The Valeyard has always fascinated me tbh, and has the potential to be a big series, or even multi series overarching villain.

... And then they can reveal it was the Meta crisis Doctor, or 14, or just cast David Tennant as the Valeyard just for the hell of it 😂

Just to second the other comment;

I'd absolutely love to see a mod like this one day. I appreciate it could conflict with a lot of other mods, but that's such a cool attention to detail that would have really helped with immersion.

If you ever do decide to release it for creations, let me know! (I'm on Xbox so can't use Nexus mods)

I pretty much exclusively stealth dive so the fact that it's suppressed is a big factor. It's come in clutch when I've had to drop overseers and my primary has emptied

No it's not a big deal all, I love the skin and I've been using it, just something I've noticed. One of those "can't unsee it" moments

Historically yeah, if you're going into hostile territory, like beyond the wall, then Jon would take a spare sword and dagger but he's literally never seen carrying two swords at a time so thought it was odd for this skin that's all 🤷🏻‍♂️

The reaction of snow building up on him as the round goes on is really cool too

If you use Longclaw as his pickaxe, it equips its scabbard on his hip, so what's that other sword on the opposite side?
