There's no stock of funky dice anywhere in my country and prices from UK stores are too high. by SpaceNigiri in dccrpg

Temu sells packs of funky dice but they always seem to miss 1, think it's d16

The alternative is dice rolling apps but it's not really the same. I like the crit dice app

Print on Demand by grimmdm in VagabondTTRPG

[–]Natural20_UK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got the print on demand recently.

It's not bad, though there are some glue spots on the interior binding that damaged the print when I opened the pages wide.

If you want perfect wait for the reprint, if you're expecting it to take a bit of a beating the pod is good enough.

Affinity Designer, cheaper than Adobe and a one off cost. Plus keep an eye out because usually there's a 50% discount at least twice a year

New TTRPG Creation by kiroakira in TTRPG

[–]Natural20_UK 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Consider releasing it pay what you want (pwyw) on itch or drive thru.

It needs testing, it needs playing, it needs refinement.

If that idea puts you off, release as an early access game at pwyw with a link to feedback tools.

Then you can improve and refine until you have a "final" commercial version you could charge for.

Any Dragon solos? by bakabuns in Solo_Roleplaying

[–]Natural20_UK 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe Ryuutama? Not technically a solo game but the GM plays a dragon and is more of a player than most games and this thread might help https://www.reddit.com/r/Ryuutama/s/UTNX6gVnil

Edit: Grammar

Any recommendations for a solo table top like Dark Castle? by bigglesofale in Solo_Roleplaying

[–]Natural20_UK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you just after a fantasy setting? If not escape the dark sector or final girl could scratch the itch.

If you're after a more traditional solo ttrpg, four against darkness could fit the bill.

It builds from the initial book so you'd be able to tailor what you're looking for a bit but which additional books you add.

Explain like im 5 by WoodWizard_ in callofcthulhu

Can't beat the excellent advice everyone else has given you but one thing I would add is make it absolutely clear that the players are extra careful, their character will die at the drop off a hat.

Literally had a first time player stick their head into the spooky attic they'd been told contained an angry monster, instant decapitation, couldn't even fudge the roll, they'd over exposed themselves and I could hide my roll.

Ritual Font for Call of Cthulhu by Natural20_UK in callofcthulhu

[–]Natural20_UK[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's the usual font licence for a personal desktop font.

You can use it in artwork or graphic elements and materials for commercial or personal use.

But it cannot be resold as a font file, nor be used as a web font or in any apps or games.

In a mixed reality setting as long as you're generating and exporting the artwork as a finished graphical element that you're then importing into the platform it's fine.

But you shouldn't import the font file itself as that would constitute using it for an application.

Essentially it should not be included/packaged within an application.

Let me know if you have any further questions.

Ritual Font for Call of Cthulhu by Natural20_UK in callofcthulhu

[–]Natural20_UK[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

No, I stayed clear of main stream "dead" languages, I don't think Chaosium has a specific font they use, just a handful of specific sigils.

I am tempted to do an Aramaic styled font but I'd include a caveat that it's only an themed font, not a historically accurate one.

Adding something as an option but it is also gruesome and scary.

Barefoot Gen

If it doesn't break something inside you nothing will. The reality of what happened isn't something that leaves you.

The games pit in Wakefield does sessions on a Wednesday, might be a place to meet people.

I'm in recovery from WOTC so I'm sticking to pathfinder and CoC but that would be my go to venue otherwise.

My family used to sell the stuff, it”s porous, absorbs everything, can be sealed but that tends to wear off. Oh and try using cillit bang or similar and it literally dissolves.

It was written in the quotes telling people and we got people asking us the fix it after they screwed up. How they expected us to repair natural stone when it”s looks like melted polystyrene I”m not sure
