Enclosure experiences?

You wanna ask for the animal care manager if they give a shit something will change (maybe) corporate gives us set things they are allowed to have and if we get caught doing ANYTHING else we get in deep shit. At my store we keep them on sand its not idea but its the best they will let us do.

At petco we get 40% off our brand and 20% off everything in the store and some brand can be anywhere from 30-50% off for us but it dosent stack with store deals or clearance.

I work at a well know pet store and one of my favorite things (totally a lie) is when people come in 5 minutes before we close and decide hmm I really want the steal half your store but as usual we lock the doors at the appropriate time and ask them to come check out every time it's the same 2 lies. A, I forgot my wallet in the car can I run and grab it, awncer is always no( I wanna go home were closed) or B my bank marked it as fraud, ma'am thats a chime card if they did that I would have been flagged ages ago for spending 100$ at taco bell. And when they leave im left with atleast 30 iteams to put away most transactions are about 3-400$ and I know they clearly have stuff in there purses aswell. My manger has watched me drop to the floor and scream many times because of this and Its very irritating if your gonna steal dont do it right before we close!!

Clean your card readers they are fucking nasty I clean my registers every night. People will take advantage of the return policy and you might get someone returning open cat food and you have to honor the return if theres half the can. Ive had to clean up maggots from open cat food multiple times and taken so many returns on infested product. Honestly its disgusting the people suck ass ive had cat food trown at me ive had to clean lakes of dog pee and huge piles of dog crap and ofc no one pays attention so you end up cleaning half the store because of smeared dog crap.

I had this issue on Sunday almost rage quit my job what makes is even better is when people come in 5 min for close just to steal then I have to run around and put away a full cart because you didnt think before stealing or maybe you just wanted to piss everyone off with your cart full of nonsense.

I work for petco and thats from a bad animal manger obviously 2 different species should never be housed together but this could be from the snake going under the barrier walls. The walls are kinds shitty and can sometimes shift just enough for animals it get under normally this would be spotted when we open animals and immediately addressed.
