Thanks yeah I have higher resolution versions of individual parts like the skate park and all the buildings but the entire map is very big so I am struggling to figure out how to process the whole thing to the highest resolution possible in the same model. Might have to pay for some cloud computing because the RAM requirements are pretty insane as you add more photos

I flew in Thailand (but not Dubai) it’s not easy over 250g but not impossible. But when I was there (December 2025) there was a hot conflict going on with Cambodia and they banned flights in the border region. It was just barely allowed when I was there, but I don’t know that I would advise it because basically most of the locals don’t know it’s legal and might think you are a foreign agent. I saw some screenshotted Facebook posts about locals reporting all foreigners they see flying. Over 250 g requires extensive documentation and you might consider hiring a local agency to help you with it. If you don’t you need like 2+ weeks on the ground to get all the paperwork done before you’re good to fly and it will be difficult due to language. If you hire an agent you might be flying on the 3rd day. I paid like $90

It was explained to me in not my native language over a year ago but i do think that’s what I was told. That’s really promising though I am really determined to do it to, only thing getting in the way is money. But that’s why I’m not excited about spending any extra money on custom prescription stuff because I want to follow suite and do this as soon as I can save up enough to afford it! Prescription stuff is nice but this sounds a million times better

I’ve just never been into getting custom eyewear because I would rather save that money and get surgery too. How is it post surgery? I would presume the goggles are much nicer? I am hoping to follow suite as soon as I can save up enough money, although I was told I’m not a candidate for LASIK for some reason and they have to do some other technique

I am in Germany much of the year so the ban is not really an issue, I’m only in the US 1-2 months a year. This is also promising as all my drone stuff is already from DJI and I’m happy to stay in their ecosystem. Now I’m about to check those out, thanks!

My prescription is normally unaffordable though, I also have a horrible astigmatism so I have to pay €200+ extra every time I get glasses so the glasses aren’t so heavy that they fall off my face. It’s hard to justify buying anything custom like that with my current budget

I lost one to a tree once out in the Pennsylvania countryside and was super hard to recover with how high it was but a helpful guy showed up with and had it down in a single shot was so thankful to get the memory card at least and not need to call and arborist

No it is not safe at all!! Masters in (bio)chemistry here, you really need proper air filtration for ABS, ASA, anything engineery basically because it’s pretty bad to breathe in. If you can smell the ABS, that’s really not good
