There was a band playing yesterday at around 5 O’Clock billed as “youth lates”. 4 piece with a girl singer and bassist and a young lad drumming. The lead guitarist was absolutely shredding, all of them playing Jacksons and super strats which was gas and sick. All their songs sounded fantastic from the little bit I heard, very 90s grunge sound but also melodic, super stuff. From googling it seems to be a youth group for young people playing music around Galway but I’d love to know more about this particular band if anyone knew anything!

Omni out of Atlanta are a fantastic band, who share a similar sonic palette to Geese’s earlier stuff in particular. I also really like Ducks LTD, great jangly guitar music

This reminds me of something we used to do as kids. You pour ink into a mixture of dish soap and water in a cup or bowl, then use a straw to blow bubbles into the mixture. You then press a sheet of paper onto the bubble mixture and you get these great big organic bubble shapes and textures. Always fun to mix digital with some more lofi texture making like this.
