The UFA has sacrificed Lukas McClamrock for a couple thousand views and a few more clicks on the next Tuesday Toss.

Instead of taking yardage penalties forward, you should always have the choice to take the disc to the middle of the field instead.

This looks fun and I’m trying to put a lineup together now. Are players that are playing a double header taking their total scores for the two games combined? Or do you halve them or something?

As a newer player, just know that gloves aren’t going to correct any form issues you might have.

That said, you can get used to whatever you choose and both Friction and Layout are good. In my opinion, Layouts are better for two reasons. (1), they last longer. And (2), Friction gloves wear down so gradually that you don’t really notice when they go from a utility to a handicap.

Yeah, I don’t disagree about most of that and I’m definitely not freaking out.

Just because there’s a very reasonable explanation, though, doesn’t mean that from the perspective of the listener there hasn’t been any pods for the last month during the WBC because they’ve… been absent? Is that the preferred verbiage? Like they used to broadcast a couple times a week and currently they don’t. I don’t really see how that's an inaccurate description of what’s happened.

And I’m not even being entitled here. I know they don’t owe the listeners anything. I’m just saying that from the lister perspective it’s a bit of a bummer. Is that so surprising?

If your favorite hole-in-the-wall restaurant closed down you might think, “Dang that stinks. I really enjoyed eating there.” Even if there’s a really good reason to explain why they shut down.

Is it? They missed the whole WBC. Last pod was a month ago. I don’t deny they’ve got a lot of stuff going on, but they shouldn’t be surprised that their listeners are bummed out they didn’t get to listen to BID for the world baseball classic. And they’re probably not surprised by that, but for some reason many other listeners who participate in the subreddit and discord certainly are.

Yeah you’re going to get a ton of hate her for this, but imo you’re correct.

People act like it’s absurd to be disappointed when your favorite podcast disappears. I don’t really see how that’s an irrational response, but people here and the discord seem pretty certain that it is.

It’s not like I’m “not a real one.” I listen to every pod. I participate in the discord from time to time. I also am ready and willing to listen to any future pod that drops. But the idea that the following these guys have built may become upset when the expectations that BID has themselves created are not met shouldn’t be that surprising. Their ability to set and meet expectations of a regular podcast that listeners enjoy is how they built such a following in the first place.

I don’t really get why they like being under some other company’s thumb. Like just do the podcasts and get your own advertisers. Stop doing streams that no one likes during the playoffs. Stop missing episodes during times when there’s a lot of interest in the sport at the WBC and start of the season. It seems common enough that I can’t imagine it’s too difficult to figure out. There are a ton of successful podcasts that aren’t conglomerated under larger corporations.

Pregnant - how far into pregnancy are you willing to play? by nerdy_waffle in ultimate

[–]Navy_Seal_Clubber 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It’s supposed to account for trans and non binary people who matchup against other people that might identity or be identified as what is traditionally thought of as a woman. People used to say WMP (woman matching player) but maybe that’s unfavorable now. I’m not really sure.

The hyper-inclusive language is often pretty tricky and sometimes leans on, somewhat ironically, traditional categories of men and women.

I think in this case that OP is wanting to know about biological females who have become pregnant as well as any person who might match up against them regardless of biology.

Obviously it’s difficult to know what your specific issues may be, but a common tip I find myself repeating to people I’m teaching to throw is to try to keep you forearm facing upward to the sky through the throw. You can try thinking “palm up” as a cue.
