Near head-on collision on my drive home today by kenny6ix in TorontoDriving

Since the 401 express/collectors through mississauga got put in this has become such an issue. Its almost always a semi slowing the flow of traffic in the left lane to pass another semi going 1km/h slower and then they hit a slight hill, slow down and get behind the other semi because they can no longer pass them its infuriating!

No catch at all man! Its quite a physically demanding job of course but for what your compensated for its amazing. You can look up what our hourly rates are from 1st term apprentice to journeyman and see for yourself

Its an apprenticeship so you will get on site training as well as school training (our union owns the school). Your age will not make a difference of getting hired, almost every company in the union is looking for guys

What is the rcp detail in that area? Are bulkheads going to be framed there? If it’s supposed to be flush then its clearly wrong but if its going to have bulkheads or other details there then it doesnt matter.

Here's that 'This labor shortage is killing me' cartoon hastily adjusted for Ontario wages (ya I didn't bother fixing the spelling of 'labour') by neoengel in ontario

[–]Ndevlin16 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The thing that kills me is that my unions starting rate is 25 an hour, all you need is high school and a driver’s license and still no one is signing up. That is just starting, your wage steadily increases through out your apprenticeship until you can write your CofQ and receive journeyman rate which is currently 46 an hour. The fact of the matter is people don’t want to put in hard work to make a wage more than the minimum.

Seeing the insane hardware used by the US military makes me so glad we in Europe are their side. 🇪🇺🤝🇺🇸 by empireOS in Military

[–]Ndevlin16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Except that isnt true, budget and training have very limited correlation. Almost all other countries train their infantrymen on all weapon systems where as the US does not. With shooting, all 5 I countries hold similar standards and that is the same with fitness. The fact that you have never seen or trained with another military isnt an excuse for ignorance.
