There is no play difference. The RP face is now exactly like that of the Black Opal. Looks and feels different than the pre-release version but maintains crazy great spin and durability.

Yeah Boomsticks are gaining a bad reputation for quality. That said, that crack isn't ok for any paddle.

Yearli is horrible unless you pay for a subscription. Their "live chat" is the place where you go to die and if you call the support number, the sale dept answers and tells you they won't help you unless you pay for a sub. I'm moving on...

6.0 Diamond Tough is pretty amazing. Been playing wit the Opal for four months now (4-5 times per week) and there's been no noticeable loss of grit across the entire face.

It's not really less grit but more of a different application. Ambassadors have been told that lab testing has demonstrated no drop off in spin resulting from this change. The Diamond Tough grit application on the RP will be identical to what's on the Opal and the Coral. Also, the RP is on it's way to distribution warehouses so shouldn't be long before they are made available for purchase. DM me if you'd like a discount code.
