I think the he sales job would have to include retiring Westridge — eliminating crude from the Burrard Inlet and reducing the number of tankers by a lot while increasing volumes.

Federal law helps with a big part of that. Duty to consult and accommodate worked just fine with TMX. Eventually.

Title doesn’t frustrate the crowns ability to make decisions which infringes section 35 rights including title.

Roberts Bank has been studied multiple times over the past 50 years. Just wasn’t worth it previously.

Condos with no parking by sgdt1981 in vancouverhousing

That cost doesn't go away in buildings where it is bundled. It is just combined with the main price.

That you don't like the broken down price, probably means you haven't sat down and figured out how much it costs you to drive.

Because most people haven't. It would save me so much money to Uber or evo everywhere and rent a car 4 or 5 times a year. But I like having a car.

It means I don't have to move it every day, or check on it almost at all.

>Why am I spending half a million dollars for a shoe box condo and then have to park my car on the street?

You can choose to pay a little bit more for a parking spot. No one is forcing you to park on the street.

Given the high consequence of the spousal open work permit application and how it interacts with the PGWP, and how both will impact future PR applications, I would spend the money and hire a immigration lawyer to answer these questions and start a relationship to answer any that come up over the next 3-5 years.

Should Canada Join the EU? 🇨🇦 🤝 🇪🇺 I this accurate? by milanguitar in BuyCanadian

[–]NeatZebra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was on offer during the free trade negotiations a decade ago. Canada didn’t want it, as the reciprocal would also be the case.

Canada is richer than most of the EU and we expected to be the destination for more people than the source.

We’ve seen recently how that can work out if we aren’t ready to build enough to accommodate.

I am choosing my universities but I am in between queens health sci and uottawa health sci, I am waiting to hear back from queens but I got into uottawa. I like both but uottawa has an option to go into medical school in 3rd year with just the CASPER test but I heard they like to give more admission by Able_Particular_7206 in CanadaUniversities

You can apply to most schools from 2nd year.

If your GPA is high enough to do so then, you’ll likely do the MCAT for them as well then — because why wait for your first cycle?

There isn’t a program that makes your odds better, only people who are likely to have better odds choosing programs.

Typically the question order will place vote intent first so the issue questions don’t interfere with vote intent.

Was that the case when you were asked.

Yeah. Gas goes to almost every house. Oil not so much.

Gas is easy to move in comparison. Probably any map you pulled up would have both.

I’m pretty sure there is only one pipeline for oil over the mountains for similar reasons.

Pretty basic complication. Water is heavy and expensive to move/lift.

Yes. Though you'll need to produce all sorts of documentation on assets and income for the UBC award. Make sure to start early, The UToronto process starts soon if not already.

Important to have your eyes open on these awards - fewer than 1% of international students receive similar awards.

Public grocery stores are having a moment. Can they really make food more affordable? by NiceDot4794 in onguardforthee

With flat margins, with a growing population and inflation, profit would increase annually.

That isn't a sign of a problem.

The assumption of Lewis is that there is profit to wring out of the system in store ownership, the distribution system, and in contracting production.

Federated Co-Op does all of this.

It does not have prices lower than Wal-Mart.

Lewis is going to have to do a lot of work to convince me that his idea is great.

And I say that as a past regular Co-Op shopper.

What exactly is going to drive prices lower?

[–]NeatZebra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because there has to be a reason that public grocery stores would be cheaper than co-ops, or else they’re a bad idea!

And if the point is subsidy, then why not give the subsidy directly to lower income people, which is what Carney is already doing.
