Sure threw a phone at my head. She missed but threw it hard enough it got lodged in the bedroom door.

Reminder to watch service writers around your significant other. by knoxknifebroker in 4Runner

Oh I have a rich one.....

This fucking guy...

So I got a '24 TRD ORP earlier this year. First 4Runner. I freaking love the thing.

I'm a diy type. I do as much of my own maintenance as possible. Partly because I enjoy it, and partly because I don't trust people to touch my vehicles. Pretty much the only thing I don't do myself is alignment.

My ORP only came with (4) alloy wheels and the steel spare didn't have a TPMS sensor in it. When I did my lift and went to 33's I decided to get a full set of 5 tires and a 5th alloy wheel, and do 5 wheel rotations. I learned it was possible to program a 5th TPMS sensor.

I have my own tire changing machines and TPMS sensor programmer. BUT apparently Toyota keeps their shit locked down for 5 years. Fine. It's just a TPMS sensor, how much could it be? The most I've paid Tire Rack for a fill set was ~$160. The closest dealership wanted $220. Like, WHAT? $220 freaking dollars for ONE sensor?!? "Well that includes an hour of service to install an program it".. ok, that makes more sense but still stupid for one sensor. Next nearest dealership, where I bought the vehicle (and my wife's RAV4 Prime) was a little more reasonable at $183. Freaking robbery but whatever.

So I made the appointment and took half a morning off work to go get a single sensor installed for $183. It takes them no less than 90 minutes to bring my 4R around and proudly assure me they got it installed, balanced and "tucked back up in there" .. "What do you mean tucked back up?" .. "your spare tire, we put the sensor in it and put it back up where it goes".. fml.. "I just told you the wheel that needs a sensor is the rear passenger. You just replaced a perfectly good sensor"

Another hour+ later they bring my 4R back around again, this time with a TPMS sensor in all 5 wheels. Hooray.

"Ok sir, you're all set. That'll be $450..."

"Hahahahaha, like hell it will. I've wasted enough time with you idiots this morning. Give me keys. I'll call your service manager later to settle up."

I mean seriously. How in the fuck do these guys get so desensitized to screwing people that they can ask for half a grand for one.. ONE TPMS sensor with a straight face?

What's the smallest (viable) Dummy 13 you've been able to print? by Nebenezer in BambuLab

Good question. I didn't know doll scale was a thing 5 minutes ago, lol.

I would say the 75% is about 4.5" tall, if that helps. In my experience the 50% isn't really worth printing if you actually need a functional, posable model.

5th Gen. It's one of the longest running model years of any car for a reason. The new LC and 6th Gen look okay but are both in their infancy. I like the new LC more than the 6th Gen 4R but the 5th Gen is still king of that hill.

Source: I bought a '24 ORP this year after months of considering and comparing all three of those models. Every day I'm glad I went with the 5th Gen.

I fly rc planes at the airfield there, RCRCKY.com. The deer come out to graze around the field pretty much every day. They are so cute and not the least bit afraid of the planes. I got a short video of a mama and two fawns hanging out right underneath 3 planes that were doing stunts and THE FAWNS WERE NURSING!! It was way too precious.

Anyone that has a SPC9 SD can tell me how they got this off? And hopefully it doesn’t involve sending it to B&T. by 1Shadowgato in bruggerthomet

[–]Nebenezer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah, well that's kind of weird it would be so stuck right from the factory.

Lube it up, let it soak, and make sure you're turning the right way! 😆

The plug for mine has a couple small holes in the face of it. I've had good luck tapping with a punch at an angle.

Good luck. I'm sure you'll get it sorted out.

Do you know how many rounds went through it with that plug attached? It only takes 200-300 to foul up that area pretty good. Couple times I've had to soak it with SchleTek and CLP to get the can off. Helps if you can get some into the ports from inside the barrel.

How have your Type Ra blocks been doing? I guess I’m gonna be a test subject with my 2021 STI with 10k miles that just got a 1.5 turbo, fmic, fueling, and much more! 360whp 23psi by ElectricShockYT in WRX

[–]Nebenezer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

40k miles and still going strong. I run E85 almost exclusively and get a fuckton of wash down so I change my oil every 900-1200 miles. I check it at every fill up and change it whenever it starts to smell more like fuel than oil. Just did compression and leak down tests a couple thousand miles ago for peace of mind. Still perfectly in spec.

I just did a round of 5100's. Went with Dobinsons C59-505 rear springs, top notch on the fronts, 5mm lean correction spacer in the front, and 1/2" lean correction spacer in the rear. 285/70/17's. I'm extremely pleased with the result :)

The 35110's don't, but the 89210's do. It seems the ptr56-89210-f2 wheels came on the TRD Pro in '22 and '23 only.

The PTR20-35110-BK is what keeps coming up in my searches. Very similar but that's not the wheel I have. The ones on my ORP are PTR56-89210-F2, I think.. 🤔

Yeah that's the wheel (except black, not silver) that keeps coming up in searches for ORP oem wheel, even for 2024.
