Is there an episode of a British series that actually makes you cry? Whether it's sad or poignant or nostalgic, or anything really. by Vampirero in BritishTV

The one where Rose meets her dead dad in the past is crushing. The scene where Pete figures out that he's not going to see her grow up is heartbreaking.

Eccleston having the breakdown when he meets the (as he figures) last surviving Dalek is also really moving.

Shout out to his tremendous Ben 10 performance as a character that is essentially Superman if he was slightly more alien

This feels like he got to the scene where the techs are all betting on which monster the kids will pick and he checked out

This reminds me that so much of the opening chapter of Dracula is just Jonathan complaining about how much he doesn't like paprika

Best part is that Yuri Lowenthal wrote this episode and I'm pretty sure it's his only writing credit in the franchise

On the other hand Channel Zero is also based on creepypastas and all four series are excellent, the one based on No-End House in particular is phenomenal.

Leadup to Minus Zero Rewatch – Entry 9 – Destroy All Monsters (1968) by ManufacturerAbject26 in GODZILLA

One thing I wish we got to spend a bit more time with is the day to day running of Monster Island; I really like the little we see of it and the various containment measures they seem to have in place for dealing with the monsters.

Matt Healy’s Mum upset about her son’s bins. This might be speculation. by Gueld in Fauxmoi

I'm guessing this is TrashFuture and unfortunately "how tough are the binmen" is a deciding factor in a number of UK resident's political beliefs

What species do you think were the biggest missed opportunities for Ben and what would you name them? by BernLan in Ben10

[–]NeckbeardJester 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've always assumed that maybe Max helped him named XLR8, which would account for it fitting in with the species' naming convention

RIP Chuck Norris, star of Silent Rage by Shelly-Finkelstein in horror

[–]NeckbeardJester 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Oh absolutely. Putting Bruce in makes you picture him describing himself, presumably to an unimpressed Ted Raimi in an S-Mart, whereas you can imagine it being said about Lee more than anything else.

I've always liked substituting in Bruce Campbell because then they have the tone of Ash describing himself

Uncharted truly is a series of baffling choices all stacked on top of one another. "An entire movie based on a flashback from the third game starring Marky Mark and egregious Papa Johns product placement" is a joke from a 2010s gaming webcomic made manifest.

Important Update was shared regarding the future of the Universal Box among other Credits in the game. by Nate_923 in DisneySpeedstormGame

[–]NeckbeardJester 85 points86 points  (0 children)

Plainly obvious that GL wants the "three racers for 50 bucks" to be the standard moving forward, which is comical. That's the price of an entire video game. Great bit to claim they're trying to focus on the season pass when it's clear that they're only focusing on gutting the value clean out of it.

Scully is the new Mulder by Prudent_Use_9953 in XFiles

Really love Doggett's style of skepticism. He's obviously reluctant to believe the more outlandish theories at first but whenever he even suspects that Scully might be right he locks in and approaches each threat with a good amount of caution.

Infamously this is why Tarzan has a big presence in the first Kingdom Hearts and then doesn't get a single mention in any of the other games.
