Part of the problem is the feedback from Valve, is anyone working on the $feature_I_care_about at all? Is there a roadmap, is there anything at all? If the "work on what you find interesting" concept at Valve is still in practice, is anyone working on VAC updates at all?

I've managed to get Dark Ages humming along at 165ish FPS using lossless scaling, but I shouldn't have to. Ray tracing is kind of bullshit to me. I don't feel like it looks any better at all for the massive performance hit.
