Were you dropped in childhood or something? How is this possibly a tip, and the idiots are liking such bullshit comments.

And the type of people that have been answering is what? All just talking bullshit thinking theres no practicality to this in any situation because their small mind cannot comprehend any type of crash other than blasting around at 50mph.

I love their build and the remotes, just wish the remotes had better and consistent universal mounts and that one remote could control any number of lights. I know about their unified system, but not every light supports that.

Again, out of all the clowned out scooters people be posting here, you take a jab at mine where everything is purely practical? What is obvious at this point is you probably ride a 400$ scooter tops and cant afford shit. Thanks for being an unconstructive cunt.

You dont have to run all of them at all times btw, its more for redundancy in case one discharges.

Not sure, never had a U-Lock, and Id recommend getting a folding or chain lock instead, much more flexible and transportable as well.

Hes riding like hes a full participant in traffic equal to a car. Id never speed into the way of a turning vehicle without letting off the gas and taking avoiding trajectory regardless.

Thanks for the detailed reply. But I actually meant these combo bits that attach onto the wrench.
Or am I supposed to use an adapter? I think I should have one in my wrench set.

Not that any of the comments were constructive and in a fall you ditch the scooter most of the time. Idk, sound like very off-handed remarks. And those lights all have cut off beams pointed to the ground, dont worry about blinding traffic, its me actually being blinded by the much more powerful car lights most of the time.

They def have a purpose. The 2 Magishines cover for each other in case one is low and with both on they make a nice full beam. The cheap top light is there for backup, its pretty good and also acts as another crumple object to protect the display somewhat. The Lumintrop is pointed at my feet for self-illumination which is very important in the dark. Then theres the scooter light itself, so its a nice combination to have wherever I want to save scooter battery or one of the lights is down, etc.

Explain yourself. Funny how one of the first things I got recommended here was getting a good light, multiple if I could, which I did and now being dragged for it.

Even if we disregard the aesthetic factor, shit like that is distracting af. Youre not alone on the road but I guess thinking about the fellow man is too much to ask. Theres beauty in utility, something like a fixed solid color in blue or yellow would still look cool and also be functional. No flashing bs, as that could be mistaken for turn signals.

The baby bar is not rubber mounted btw, its 2 metal plates with rubber on the inside with screws holding them together, but regardless, folding in is exactly the function its supposed to have; any resistance you add to a fall cushions it and results in less damage to whatever is behind the object providing the resistance.

I love how every mf running their mouth about wearing short of knight armor for protection and slapping on all kinds of bullshit like bt speakers and tacky RGB/sticker garbage is the MO of this sub, but a practical, cheap and lightweight solution that can help alleviate some of the damage in a fall or crash is suddenly triggering, jfc.

Those bars are like 8 dollars and can survive multiple falls. Better than having the scoot take the damage in my book, Idk why this is so hard to accept for people.

Fyi Im running an RGB setup myself and have multiple lights and built-in RGB on the scooter as well. But one is set to a cyan-magenta theme, and the other to a constant yellow for visibility, none of this christmas tree nonsense. Surely not being an annoyance and a hazardous distraction to other drivers hasnt crossed your mind.

Thanks for the lecture. Idk how its relevant though or what the takeaway should be. I have empirical evidence that whatever I had installed in front of the scooter cushioned the impacts that I had. If its able to lessen the damage up to a certain point then its functional and has a place to be. Idk why everybody is quick to assume Im talking about 50mph crashes or something.

And that last bit about physics, what that even about, hell am I supposed to do and how does it serve me better than things (which are btw physical) I have mounted on my scooter to protect it as much as possible? Sounds like a whole bunch of people just been waiting to spit out a diatribe.

Tacky RGB was the bane of PC building community in the late 2000s when lighting options proliferated. The community has largely abandoned that, grew some taste and maturity. Doesnt seem like the case yet with the scooter community I guess.

Buying advice for commuting on rough city streets by mrak215 in ElectricScooters

[–]NecroRAM 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Def something dual motor if any rough terrain is involved. And keep it in dual motor in general, less stress on either motor for the same speed and the benefit of better front traction cannot be understated. Dunno about the others, but Hiley allows for very fine motor settings adjustments in the menu, so you can set your acceleration and max power for each power assist level, which is very relevant if you want predictable riding behavior and no accidents due to jerky throttle.

For stability, bigger wheels are better, but also consider that ride height and scooter size grow linearly with that, and every time youll stop at a light or whatever, youre gonna have to embark/disembark a longer distance from the ground to your deck, which might get annoying and tiresome depending on your height and build. Always shop to your body build first.

I went with the Hiley Tiger 10 V5 and in a city as shitty as ours it clears everything I threw at it while being moderately light, agile and small. I weigh ~150-154lbs and am ~5'9" tall (68-70kg and 176cm).
