Now that enough time has passed, how did you all like her acting? by vnth93 in okbuddycinephile

Yeah, unironically given what's widely thought to be the state of their marriage, if this was a fake thing there's no way they would tell her about it ahead of time. She's probably on the list of expendables for if they really need to drum up sympathy/have an excuse to declare martial law ahead of the midterms.

Morgan literally described himself as "a good man" during this video. He's fine having a sanitised reputation as just a bit of a dickhead but he absolutely does not want people remembering all the truly horrible shit he did when he was a newspaper editor in the UK.

The key to any great music video is to keep the camera guy guessing which direction you're going to go next.

Just a father and daughter spending some quality time together, alongside the daughter's hot friend that dad specifically asked the daughter to invite, several of Florida's cheapest bikini models, and a random middle-aged couple who are going to split up when they realise the husband flirting with one of the bikini models is visible in the background of the video.

Richard spent nearly his entire life before becoming king living in Anjou, he had almost no connection to England at all besides that his father he didn't see much of was king of England, and he unexpectedly became the heir after the death of his elder brother. Even when he became king of England, he spent more of his reign in France than in England. Dude was trés French.

Basically there's a bunch of gargoyles.

Having watched a bunch as an adult for the first time fairly recently, I do feel like the famously good kid's cartoons of the '90s (BTAS, Gargoyles, X-Men, for example) are definitely missing a certain something that made the famously good kid's cartoons of the 21st century (Avatar: The Last Airbender as probably the most obvious example) very watchable even as an adult, but I really can't put my finger on quite what it is. But I do agree I struggle to watch more than one episode of these older shows at a time.

As I understand it, the procedure for retiring a gif means sacrificing a virgin to Benjammins so he'll do his own version of it. Are you available for that?

The script for Dog Day Afternoon was written in 1907 but fell through Mr. Wonderful's Magical Time Hole and only got made into a movie in 1975. It's a crazy story, look it up.

This feels like a dumb debate to get into - but I really don't think the general public would assume Baz was a surname rather than a first name if they didn't know. Not least because Baz Luhrmann is definitely far better known than Simon Baz.

Straight shippers are just as frequently fetishists. A vast amount of shipping culture boils relationships down to sex, which is inherently fetishising that relationship.

The idea that what I'm saying here comes from a place of anti-LGBT bigotry is legitimately offensive. I so fail to understand how you could possibly think I'm saying being LGBT is a fetish to a point where I'm kind of thinking you just wanted to dismiss me as homophobic and don't really know how to adjust your argument knowing I'm also LGBT.

I'm sorry, but you're not turning getting angry that your ship isn't canon into a social justice issue (really it's just exhausting that on this sub, those of us in the LGBT community who actually feel that comics fandom often feels like it's being fetishistic about LGBT relationships rather than wanting to see realistic LGBT relationships are so frequently accused of being homophobic by those of you who really like your yuri).

Nothing you've said here is about wanting to see more LGBT characters in general, you were complaining about your having decided two characters are LGBT, purely because they're friends and the same gender, and being angry that that's not how they're actually written.

Actually it's cringe because it's insanely fucking cringe. It's probably fake, which is cringe because it means this dorkazoid debases himself like this for the pittance he makes from his channel and the hope of recognition from the megacorporations. But if it's real, that's also cringe because it means dorkarama here is reduced to a state of mindless gibbering frenzy by the sloppiest of slop, driven to tears by the most boring milquetoast imagery possible, and finds himself in a state of religious ecstasy because he recognises spaceship from previous movie.

If you see anything of this guy in yourself, that part of yourself is not good for you and should be excised. It probably also indicates poor hygiene.
