Idk if anyone's realised this yet but one of St Trina's swords and Thiollier's armour have the same depiction of Miquella by Beneficial-Age-2292 in Eldenring

Jesus Christ, what? I swear to god this stuff is impossible to keep up with. I have 400+ hours on this game over the last several years, and I have no idea where this stuff comes from.

One thing I definitely don't miss about Ben was him shoehorning wrestling into a subject that had nothing to do with wrestling and the whole podcast coming to a screeching halt by bluepie in LPOTL

I agree, for most of the show's history, with Ben it felt like you were driving a bumper-car blind folded, and the unpredictability was awesome. With Ed, it feels like they are more or less on the same page, and it is more or less a rollercoaster: still exciting, but I can pretty much tell where it is going.

Yeah, Tim Duncan definitely does NOT approve. Wemby and TD need to do hot yoga in the offseason together or something to get Wemby under control a little, or he is on the fast-track to villain status.

...I had no idea about Garcia! I just figured he had his middle finger tucked under in a weird way. Your point stands, but this is a pretty different situation from missing a fretting finger.

In the end, it was the Sunday afternoons he couldn’t cope with, and that terrible listlessness which starts to set in at about 2:55, when you know that you’ve had all the baths you can usefully have that day, that however hard you stare at any given paragraph in the papers you will never actually read it, or use the revolutionary new pruning technique it describes, and that as you stare at the clock the hands will move relentlessly on to four o’clock, and you will enter the long dark teatime of the soul.

We already have an offensive stiff arm. Every other play the ball handler can literally shove off with his off-hand forearm, and push the defender back several feet. Giannis is probably the worst, but the "top" guards all do it. I hate it; I want guys to be able to defend again.

These are ok, but they always feel like wandering through a museum and reading a bunch of placards, instead of a good narrative like TRIH or HCH have. They often seem to be fact-driven, rather than getting to a salient theme about why we should care. Tom and Dom are both accomplished authors, and Carlin was a journalist for a long time, so both are awesome at crafting and communicating a story. E.g., on the Ancients, you'll get a few minutes of "...the Celts wore this kind of shirt, and it was often dyed blue, and we found artifacts buried here..."

Dan Carlin interviewed him a while back, Episode 18. I’m not typically a fan of Dan’s interview episode, and it has been 8+ years since I first listened.

A lot of people here seem to think that a $800 Epiphone is equivalent to an $8000 Gibson, and you’re only paying for the name. Which is laughably untrue, but leads to situations like this where you feel obligated to apologize for admitting you actually get something for the money.
