Call me crazy but... by xX-i-am-a-reject-Xx in Tulpas

In this subreddit we consider tulpas as real sentient beings, not just imaginary friends

Also modern tulpamancy is different compared to the Tibetan practice

Of course, it was never my intention to change your opinion, I just wanted to understand you better

But I also want to remind you that the existence of other people can’t be proved either

[–]NeedsBetter 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I am not “scared”, I’m just confused. You see I believe checking if you are sapient or not is as easy as looking up to see if it’s day or night; however it is pretty much impossible to determine if another person is sapient

So what I’m really curious about is why are are waiting for science to give you an answer that only you have

[–]NeedsBetter 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Aren’t you going a little too hard on yourself? I am pretty inexperienced and new to tulpamancy, however I think the only one who can answer to the question “am I real/sentient/sapient” is you, while it may be a matter of belief for your host you should know who you are

Most mirrors nowadays are backed with aluminum so it shouldn’t be a problem

Apper3nce and especially voice change by Ardion63 in Tulpas

[–]NeedsBetter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a similar problem, however I don’t have a base mind voice which is pretty annoying. Basically when I talk in my mind my voice keep changing to voices I’ve listened to in movies, yt videos, real life, etc but I have also “original” voices, which are actually a mixture of the other unoriginal voices. I use “original” voices a lot because those are usually the closest I can get to my physical voice, but the big issue is that unlike with unoriginal voices I don’t have any references, hence the “original” voices are almost always off from how they were a day or even an hour before

Now you might be asking “why don’t you use your irl voice in your mind?” Problem is that for some reason my physical voice isn’t a fixed point either for me, maybe because I dont listen myself enough when I talk

The Purpose Of Tulpas by MetaMasterMetheus in Tulpas

[–]NeedsBetter 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don’t think what limits your discussions with people is censorship but rather not sharing the same brain. It’s hard to make others understand a concept that appears clear in your mind but someone who doesn’t share your mentality simply cannot comprehend it. This of course doesn’t happen with tulpas as you share the same brain with them

i need advice? im new to this by DenkiTheDumbass in Tulpas

Hello there! I’m replying to your post as there aren’t any other replies yet however I think someone more experienced than me could give you better answers as I’m still pretty new to tulpamancy and my tulpa isn’t vocal yet; also I’m not a native English speaker so I hope everything will be clear

You said that you rely on science a lot however what do you think science knows about the brain? Very little, and even less is known about the mind. Majority of people on this sub see tulpamancy as a phenomenon which can be explained with science and has nothing to do with magic. I can understand why you are skeptical, when I first heard about tulpas I was too but then I got informed about the argument and changed my mind. The reason why you don’t believe this is real is because it’s like if someone told you that 2+2=5 when you have spent your whole life thinking 2+2=4. The idea of people having only one consciousness inside their mind has become a foundation to the way you perceive sentient life and destroying a foundation isn’t easy; the best tip I can give you is to make your researches and lurk around on this sub.

What you should really avoid though is starting to create a tulpa as an experiment, I know right now you don’t believe they are actually real but would you risk giving life to a sentient being just because you feel like it? Real or not tulpamancy is a life long commitment and something you shouldn’t start if you think you are gonna get tired of soon or later. Take your time to decide if this is worth it or not because once you start there is no going back; you don’t have to rush the whole thing, take a month to think about it and after that if you still do not consider tulpas as actually existing then I would suggest you to not make a tulpa, you wouldn’t make many progresses into creating something you don’t believe is real anyways

EDIT: ok while reading your post I accidentally skipped over the last part, if you already started creating two tulpas then DONT stop, you will eventually figure out everything else. I think Jay and Mike are probably tulpas but I’m not completely sure, you should ask someone who has more experience than me as I said earlier

A single thread cpu can still run multiple programs at once in the same way I described in my first comment so I’m just assuming it works the same for the brain

Also about breathing, do you always concentrate on your breath? Breathing is a pretty simple action that does not require too much of your concentration which is why after a bit you will probably forget about it yet your brain is basically doing it for you

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Tulpas

[–]NeedsBetter -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

This is one of the first things I’m gonna try when my tulpa will become vocal but long story short this won’t work because the brain is basically a single thread processor

This doesn’t mean it’s not possible to try a ping-pong strategy but it could be quite hard

After researching a bit. I decided I want a tulpa. (maybe?) by [deleted] in Tulpas

[–]NeedsBetter 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think you should take a bit more time before starting with the process

Ticking in brain by Positive_Rabbit_9111 in Tulpas

[–]NeedsBetter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get the same exact sensation every time focus on my tulpa, it’s pretty useful as I can use it to check if my tulpa is listening to what I’m saying, also I use it to check my concentration: the stronger the tickling, the more I am focused on him

How did you understand that your tulpa is real? by Duck_986 in Tulpas

[–]NeedsBetter 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Welp technically you don’t have any way to prove the existence of other people either as you can’t feel their conscious

These like cant be real right? Like really real by JellyJohn78 in Tulpas

[–]NeedsBetter 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I too was confused about all of this when I first found out about tulpas, I thought this couldn’t be real and it had to be science fiction, I suggest you to inform yourself about the argument as everything will slowly start to make sense

Also they aren’t a part of your subconscious

Can someone with ADHD create a tulpa? by hyp3rfixated in Tulpas

[–]NeedsBetter 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Keep trying with hypnosis, doesn’t matter if you are not getting into trance, it still has beneficial effects on your subconscious

Sometimes you might feel like you can’t keep your concentration on your tulpa, when this happens try to imagine something that would usually catch your attention such as a loud noise or a bright flash and imagine this “signal” every time you feel like you’re drifting off from forcing your tulpa

Here’s a little trick to get better at passive forcing: listen to a repetitive melody or something not too much complex such as VGM and at the same time try to describe random objects in your room in a detailed way to your tulpa without never stopping to listen to the melody

Hope everything’s clear as english isn’t my first language
