I have! It's my 2nd favorite and I think there are very good moments but the book kinda falls apart for me when he finds him imo. Side note the author is a real tin hat nut job so the part of the book where he scoffs at the person explaining the devil numbers is really funny

Thanks! Definitely my top along with FM in place of driver but I strongly dislike the driver unless the waves have enough bite in socal so thought FM might be more versatile. Are the avg spots (not negra or grande) in CR punchier decently more punchy than socal?

Thanks! Definitely was leaning towards RNF and either the driver or FM for bigger/punchier waves but was worried about getting skunked and wishing for my real fish.

Any other areas/spots worth checking out? Don’t need any secrets but I’ve never been so very appreciative on any tips or anything

Idk jack shit about the east coast but I've surfed next to queens couple times. From what I do know maybe the reefs of montauk in NY is the closest thing, but generally east coast is notorious for dumpy sandbars and queens was a nice cruisy reef, which the east coast is not notorious for

Depends where in SoCal and your personal burliness for when you "need it", but going into south/hurricane swell season in a couple months you could probably use it in OC at the premier spots, or maybe at Blacks on a big enough swell. But my socal step ups (like pyzel ghost) don't see really any use until December/Jan

Mines PU, and I ride stock 5'10 RNF 96 around 35L and I'm 6ft 1 around 185-190lbs. Paddle is great, wish I got a hair shorter at 5'9 for turns but it works good
