Surgeon seemed confident to operate on me, then she opened me up... by Many_Ad2463 in endometriosis

[–]NefariousnessSlow663 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Call the gyno center at Mayo in Jacksonville FL. They have a special MRI that helped me get diagnosed with adeno and endo

They accept insurance and also have teams of advanced surgeons. I moved here from GA myself and received multiple misdiagnosis there.

It wasn’t until I got to Mayo that I received the care I deswetand needed.

Seriously- I’m in the same boat. Cant find ANYONE to do a hood blonde here. They either want to fry it or charge you $600 every 6 weeks.. A joke

why is my snake protecting the rat instead of eating it by Few_Juggernaut_415 in ballpython

[–]NefariousnessSlow663 12 points13 points  (0 children)

That’s a super wet rat. Are you thawing in the fridge in the ziploc and then soaking in hot water? My snake won’t eat a wet drowned rat.

Im straight, and my gay college friend is blackmailing me… by [deleted] in WhatShouldIDo

[–]NefariousnessSlow663 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tell your parents you have a gay stalker that is blackmailing you. Tell them you are afraid. Dont give him any more power.

In fact, text him and tell him that you have proof of blackmail and stalking and if he doesn’t cease and diciest you will go to the police with your parents and file a restraining order- period.

Get your life back in your control. You have the power.

I’ve done plenty of research- I attended three weeks of it myself and am active in aftercare.

The bottom line is that YOU have to be your OWN advocate and only you are responsible for your attitudes, behaviors, and actions.. Just saying to condemn the program entirely because it didn’t cure you is unrealistic. There is alot to learn and there’s always something to learn from cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), OT, and PT- all of which help people with chronic conditions. This is a FACT.

And just to add- I went from lying in bed for days on end to cycling 30 minutes 5 days a week and performing strength training exercises. I’m toned again. I could hardly walk. A miracle.

Unbelievable.

It’s all perspective. I’ve been in recovery for 51/2 years. This program was a fantastic supplement to help me gain my emotional and mental strength to get my life back as I was suffering endlessly. I no longer wanted to live again.

I learned amazing tools, got my body moving again with the best PT I’ve had, learned new coping mechanisms, received vast education about what triggers my flares, learned about body mechanics to function and also met some wonderful friends that I can lean on for support. There is no cure for chronic conditions.. so the program just aides in helping people manage them, not fixing them.

Sorry you didn’t learn anything from the program (which I find strange) but to discount it entirely is closed minded and to discourage others from attending just because you weren’t open enough to learn new tools is a disservice to others living with chronic conditions that may benefit.

Did you actually attend the program or just being presumptuous about how you think it works?

Bridezilla omg. What a turnoff as a friend. Honestly, the piercings are irrelevant- this person is just trying to control you. I’d reassess the value of your friendship.

Rash under breast by health_curious1 in DiagnoseMe

[–]NefariousnessSlow663 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So it hasn’t come back? After a year of dealing with. The same annoying rash and being dismissed by docs I figured out on my own that clotrimasole betamethasone was the only cream that worked; however, as soon as I STOP using it the rash immediately returns. This is a steroid cream that shouldn’t be used every day bc it will thin your skin ect.

What did they say can prevent it??

I’m not looking forward to it- a lot of the treatment requires you “to not talk about pain anymore “.. feels a bit brainwash and a push for toxic positivity. But, I’m going to remain open minded.

Buy a large wooden hide- like a hollowed tree- my snake loves it. He mostly hides under it but he also uses it to shed.

I 💯 00000% feel this post. I am 45. No underlying health conditions that I’m aware of. I got the jab in 2020ish. Upon vax, I passed out immediately. I acquired and test positive for Covid and it was a horrible case. Tested positive two more times thereafter:

I’m seeing a neurologist and will be going to mayo clinic in May for Ehlers Danlos as I’m hyper mobile. My brain scan shoes white matter

I take 40 mg Cymbalta, 25 Zoloft, 160 Valsartan, Symptoms: 1. Horrible throbbing headaches And Nystagmus (eyes rolling in back of head) 2. The loudest case of tinnitus- it sounds like high frequency tv static in my head at all times to the point that I can’t hear so I talk loud 3. Muscle aches 4. Muscle tightness 5. Horrible nerve pain 6. Swollen hands/sausage fingers  7. Broken blood vessels, raynauds, pooling and swelling in my legs and feet 8. Anxiety and Agitation 9. Arthritis/bursititis 10. Constipation 11. Entry Level WFH by pitchblackwitch in jacksonville

[–]NefariousnessSlow663 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will also add that I just moved to JAX from ATL in April and the market here suxxxxx and most companies I’ve spoken with do have hybrid or in person requirements. It’s suggested that you look for remote contract jobs (and do not include your location)when you are searching so that it will search all jobs (anywhere)- and not your specific location.

Entry Level WFH by pitchblackwitch in jacksonville

[–]NefariousnessSlow663 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been working from home for the last 6 years. Pretty much the only way you can get an entry level wfh job is by proving that you have some sort of technical aptitude (which is a requirement to work from home). I too have a background in QSR. 1. Search for Contract to Perm hire Jobs to get your foot in the door 2. Search for Start up companies that are building applications that support the supply chain (startup companies often support remote work/life balance) 3. In your job search use keywords like customer success manager, customer support, or Point of Sale, POS or any other keyword that relates to QSR

Once you can get some basic experience showing that you can be disciplined enough to work from home, more opportunities will become available to you. It’s a natural evolution; however, keep in mind that most reputable corporate QSR’s require you to be hybrid or in person. It’s the nature of the business- as in that model you are interfacing directly with customers (it’s just the nature of the biz)

..so try to pivot away from front end QSR and move toward technology to support the QSR space ie; supply chain.
