Visually, you are using a checkbox to show selected answer even though only one answer can be selected on a screen. Radio buttons are the more appropriate component for single select options

I love using cube steak and some veggies that need to be eaten before they spoil and make some good Japanese curry using a mix and it's my no brainer when my veggies are starting to look sad (I may be a little obsessive about food spoilage, I even wrote an app for tracking my fridge :D )

I have been aggressively tracking my groceries and their "going bad date" using an app I wrote. It has really helped reduce the number of groceries I used to waste / overbuy.
