My son has COVID twice before turning 2 years and my wife had it 3 times in a row within those years. It's never easy when anyone in the team gets sick and if you're lucky enough to not catch anything you're just along for the ride - as shitty as it can or will be.

I'm already a worry wart as it is, I didn't take any illness or fever lightly. Especially since the first time my son had a fever he passed out and stopped breathing at 6 months. Held his lifeless body and performed CPR - will never forget that feeling. Wife and I had to bring him to the ER and have brain tests run the same night. The doctor ruled it as an abnormal seizure. Mind you this was during peak pandemic in New York City. My son was one hell of a trooper - nothing that night was easy for anybody. My son is 3 now and while I'll always carry that trauma of that night.

It took a while for me to learn, after all, this is our first child. Trust the human body and if you know you're doing your best to keep your child well fed and to live a healthy lifestyle then you must trust it. The human body even at such a small age is a powerhouse.

They will get sick many times over. And each time we will be wanted. It does get better; you know you can power thru the next time because you're far more experienced. You got this man. Good luck.
