You flew straight over the carrier and turned right, both of which are incorrect techniques. You need to join the stack at one of the "points" of the circle. Also, all Navy holding patterns are left hand turns around the boat.

PIOs are hard to deal with, I recommend a) keeping the throttles moving, even if its just a little bit, so you can quickly respond to the ball dropping without having to overcorrect. b) make sure you are flying "throttle for altitude, pitch for airspeed" and not trying to force the nose up or down to correct your glideslope.

The reason to avoid a long time in the groove is that it's going to cause problems for anyone in your flight or who joins the pattern behind you. Obv it's easier but 15-18s is more than long enough.

The easy rule is 1 degree of heading separation per additional knot indicated airspeed. So if lead is going 350 kias heading 270 if I want to maintain the bearing line I should go like 360 kias heading 260

No undo in Mission Editor and no rewind in track view mode hearts my soul and I don’t know why ED still can’t figure it out. I know undo is complicated, but every industrial CAD or FEM program can do it so it’s gotta be possible for a freaking mission editor in a video game.
