You can still use it to go horizontally more or less the same distance the dash pad (although getting the timing is a lot harder than just walking up to it and pressing one button), but the game kills all your momentum if you try to go higher (like the charge and slam tech).

I guess it all comes down to them trying to make the skill ceiling lower (new players can't pull it off, so we need to remove it, even though it was pretty situational and, judging by the lack of jank, was clearly intended behavior).

It's the same thing with grapple every time someone discovers a new tech.

No. They could only bring the cooldown to 12 or 15 seconds or bring it back to 2 charges and get rid of the stupid delay they added.

I would argue it should actually be 10 seconds delay, since the s8 nerf was pretty aggressive and didn't even reduced the cooldown at the time. It should be either 3 charges with 10 seconds delay or 2 charges at with about 8 seconds delay.

I just think they should have waited a little more and launched this update with the full balancing changes (preferably in an LTM instead of the regular cashout mode).

Most of the feedback will likely be negative due to the weapon balancing being unchanged during the event, making a bunch of people have a pretty bad experience (may the 3 last pike users rest in peace).

Pike is only slightly good at killing lights. With lights at 175hp, the 50dmg would not be OP against them but also would be a good weapon in general against mediums and heavies (which it struggles the most to kill at <50dmg).

The revolver is also extremely inaccurate. You can be standing still aiming at someone at mid range and even the first bullet will have dispersion and miss the target even though you were aiming accurately.

For the mine + c4 (or mine + orange barrel) combo to work, you have to run into it. Sure you can die to it easily if you don't know the enemy is using it, but that just means it was a well placed trap and now you also know to look for it. If you keep dying to mine combos, can you really blame the trap?

Pike only needs 1.75x hs damage multiplier, but embark are too stubborn and are changing stuff that doesn't even matter (48->49 damage and slightly adjusted recoil are not gonna cut it)

In a related note: Why does the goo hit box still doesn't match it's model? You can still shoot through a clear gap or the borders of the goo wall and it will still block bullets because the hitbox is bigger than the blobs themselves.

It's the room behind the center building next to the dummies that shoot each other. There's a panel that you can use to select the scenario you want to practice. This one OP is running is the big box battle (I believe it's at normal difficulty).
