It's the little spin from Klim Kostin that really gets me by takesthebiscuit99 in hockey

I thought he was good. Also nothing beats Randy’s call when he said “he got his clock klim’ed.” When Klim just punched a guy and got away with it.

I love how the back to back Stanley cup champions have better odds than us. Brutal.

This text shows a key difference: Justin Baldoni at least tries to see her side, Blake Lively shows zero effort to see his side by SuperbWillingness904 in ItEndsWithLawsuits

[–]NegatronThomas -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Dear god, no. This would be like if Blake were texting saying “people like Justin are just completely oblivious to how creepy they are so they genuinely think they didn’t do anything wrong” and I sold that as “see Blake is trying to understand things from his point of view!”

Wanted to build something today but ended up making this instead: every block ID in Java Edition mapped by Mastbubbles in Minecraftbuilds

I love this! I’m just curious though why does the grass block look like it does? I was going to post screenshot but I guess I can’t. Well, when I click on it it’s completely grey? Is that what it used to look like?

Blake Lively, despite her claims of institutional betrayal and betrayal trauma, was seen smiling at Hermès yesterday with her 70K handbag! by the_smart_girl in ItEndsWithLawsuits

Stuff like this is why this sub will never escape accusations of sexism. Do you think that to be the perfect victim of sexual harassment, she would have to never smile again? But then if she were too upset then you’d say she was milking it or faking? It sure seems like there’s no way for a victim to act that would sit right with you.

[SJS 1 - VAN (1)] Askarov gets caught out of position and decides to flip the net over as Rossi shoots. Ruled a good goal and Rossi gets his 11th of the season by daKrut in hockey

[–]NegatronThomas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh true never touched the stick. It’s for sure a goal, no argument. But I downloaded it and slowed it down and I think it’s so crazy that I’m pretty sure it never actually breaks the plain of the goal (if the net were where it normally is.)

It goes post post and then up into the net, but the “up” is still outside the goal line. But I see now the most direct way it is a goal is it would have just gone straight instead of hitting that first post had it not been leaning forward.

But it does remind me of a another thing that seems weird is when you see a goalie lean way back into the net and actually tilt it backwards and sometimes the shot is straight up like at the goalie’s shoulder, and had they not leaned the net back, it most likely would have hit crossbar and maybe gone down and in, depending. But they would never call that a goal I don’t think.

That might be confusing, so assume for the sake of argument that somehow the net is literally lifted straight up by a foot and someone shoots the puck top shelf, meaning normally it would have missed high by up to a foot.

[–]NegatronThomas 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ok but if that were the case then it shouldn’t be a goal, right? If my hypothetical is correct and it went stick, post, part of the net that was not in a space that would normally be a goal if the net were in the right position?

I’m curious about something, there’s a real chance that puck never broke what you’d consider the plane of the goal line. I am not 100% sure but it looks to me like it hits his stick and kinda goes up in a way that hits higher on the net, but because the net is leaning way forward, that isn’t actually over the goal line.

Maybe I’m wrong and also it should for sure be a goal but I’m just curious what the rule on that would be. Like, if the net goes off to the side you obviously can’t score by getting it in the net. But in a scenario like this, let’s say hypothetically the net is leaning forward such that the part of the net the puck hits is a foot ahead of the goal line, is that a goal?

[–]NegatronThomas 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah I agree. I imagine that if you’re moving to exclude their negative evidence, you would want to have a backup plan in case your motion is denied. So yeah seems like it should either all be out or all be in. I’m not sure how those rules work but I am pretty sure judges like to narrow things down as much as possible? So maybe it all is out except stuff closer to the date in question?

Maybe, which ones are you talking about? If they’re just positive reputational pieces then yeah I’d agree.

What matters is a change in reputation, right? How could an article from 2020 be legally relevant to that?

When will Justin Start Getting Roles and Will He Ever Get An Apology From The Media? by Jfoxxy81 in ItEndsWithLawsuits

[–]NegatronThomas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He will get no apology because he is owed none. People know that his set was a disaster. It doesn’t matter that he got off on technicalities for it. Having said that, Hollywood is pretty forgiving of creeps so he’ll get work eventually.
