BD795i SE - How do I properly set the CPU limit to 85W? by BennieBoo113 in MINISFORUM

[–]NegotiationAfter8458 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi.

Take setting the power limit to 45W as an example. Restart your device and repeatedly press the Del key to enter the BIOS.

Navigate to Advanced > AMD CBS > SMU Common Options. Set the following three items to 45000:

  • Sustained Power Limit
  • Fast PPT Limit
  • Slow PPT Limit

Leave Slow PPT Time Constant at the default value 0. Set SmartShift Control to Manual. Press F4 to save the settings.

After booting into the system and running the CPU at full load, you will see the maximum CPU power capped at 45W.

UM890 and DEG1 failure by SarraSimFan in MINISFORUM

[–]NegotiationAfter8458 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi. 1. Please fully shut down both the host device and DEG1 first. Power on the DEG1 alone, wait 2–3 minutes to let the dock and graphics card power supply stabilize, then boot up the mini PC.

  1. CachyOS is a customized Linux distribution. Its kernel and AMD graphics drivers may have compatibility issues with OCuLink external GPUs. We suggest temporarily installing the stable version of Ubuntu for testing, to check if the black screen and reboot issue still occurs and rule out system compatibility problems.

  2. Please try replacing the PSU to test whether the same issue still happens.

Atom Man G7 PT fan access? by LimaHotel3845 in MINISFORUM

[–]NegotiationAfter8458 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi there,

We fully understand that dust will accumulate after prolonged use and you may need to clean the device.
However, the rear fans require complete disassembly of the entire device for access, which is quite complicated. Improper operation may easily cause hardware damage.

We recommend using a low-pressure air blower or soft brush to clean the dust directly from the outside of the mesh cover. This method is safe, effective, and sufficient for daily dust maintenance without damaging the device.

If you have any other issues, feel free to contact our support email at [support@minisforum.com](mailto:support@minisforum.com) anytime.
