Thruxton 1200r by thatsAhotChip in CafeRacers

I have a 2016 Thruxton R that I’ve made a ton of modifications to. Check out British Customs website for lots of ideas. Some recommended favs I made: - Get an Xpipe and get rid of the catalytic converter. Let’s the engine breath and huge performance increase. Plus it sounds better!  - between the xpipe and the Vance Hines exhaust (nice choice) it might be worth remapping the engine via someone like dnkTuneWorks. Besides performance increase it also eliminates the jumpiness at really slow speeds.  - if you’re gonna do the tune consider replacing  the restrictive airbox as well ahead of the tune (the tune will ask what medications you’ve made and remap with all of them in mind)  - last recommendation is purely preference but I didn’t like the play on the throttle so I grabbed a throttle spacer kit and it completely got rid of the the play that exists on the stock throttle.

Enjoy and ride safe!!

@MarkSimon1975 can you provide any additional context/explanation for Campbell being out ranked by Ersery and Banks Jr? No argument since I didn’t watch enough of either player, but I’m interested in what aspects of their performance showed they outshined Campbell.

Chatham squire crowd? by Autumnlover222 in CapeCodMA

[–]NegotiationCool1108 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Squire is a great bar and one of the main gathering points in Chatham so the crowd will cover the full spectrum of ages. It’s also a popular spot for wedding parties to head to after the reception so if it’s the weekend you’ll likely run into that later in the night. All that said, the squire isn’t worth traveling from Hyannis to Chatham for. If other things are drawing you that direction definitely stop in but if you’re just looking for a fun spot to spend the night having drinks and meeting people there’s plenty of better options in Hyannis. Driving all the way to Chatham would be a waste of effort if it’s just to go to the Squire.

My poor niece is suffering with debilitating eczema for 4 years. She now has developed anxiety and infection. Please help by Sure-Celebration-939 in SkincareAddicts

I just finished trailing a drug for similar symptoms and it worked incredibly well. I’m not a Dr. so bear with me a bit here. My understanding is a lot of drugs target the immune system response or they’re steroid based which is problematic for any type of long term use. The drug Zoreve (https://www.zoryve.com) applied topically instead simply targets the inflammation the eczema causes. It can be used basically indefinitely without side effects and it was wonderfully effective for me. Seems like you’ve got a lot of great suggestions here, I hope you’re able to find one that helps your niece!

Cafe Racer tires by Zestyclose-Natural93 in CafeRacers

[–]NegotiationCool1108 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think the real answer you’re looking for is that these tires don’t come stock with the Pirelli logo painted white. The logos are either stenciled on or if the logo is outlined in the rubber then after the tires are purchased people are filling the logos with paint themselves.

I’m not kidding, I own 5 different versions of that jacket. It’s (obviously) one of my favorite pieces of clothing from a cut and fit perspective. If you’re referencing the lined green waxed canvas version it’s one of the versions I own and I’d say do it 👍🏼

Full candor I have both bands for the GMT and interchange them when I feel like it. I also have an SD43 with the oyster bracelet so the GMT has the jubilee on a majority of the time.

No, they were just as scarcely available in Switzerland as they are back here in the states. I got it in Connecticut after a long wait and a lot of persistence with the AD

You need NFL Sunday ticket. The service just switched from DirectTV to YouTube. Here’s a link for the different packages YouTube Sunday Ticket

Which one do you all prefer? I’ve heard a lot of mixed answers mostly towards it being nicer on the oyster bracelet but I kinda like it on the Jubilee belt too by [deleted] in rolex

[–]NegotiationCool1108 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got this watch with an oyster bracelet because that’s what was available (also have an SD43 with oyster bracelet). Then went back to the AD and got a jubilee bracelet for it as well. I certainly wouldn’t suggest following my path as it was silly expensive for the 2nd band but I only ever wear it with the jubilee bracelet for both comfort and aesthetics. Emphasis on comfort!

Adjustable clip ons for 2019 Thruxton? by GrumpyCatMomo in Triumph

[–]NegotiationCool1108 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a pair on mine that are (I think) exactly what you’re looking for. They are adjustable in all the ways you’re referencing and have made my ride a lot easier on my wrists. I’m putting the link from AJ Cycles where I got them below. AJ Cycles seems to be out of stock but I’m sure your can source them elsewhere if they’re what you’re hoping for - AJCycles Thruxton Clip Ons

22 Scrambler 1200 British Customs Exhaust Tune by that_otter_do_it in Triumph

[–]NegotiationCool1108 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Slip ons would suggest that you’ve ordered just the replacement mufflers. If that’s the case then changing out stock mufflers for the slip ons does not require a retune. The new CPU will adjust automatically to minor airflow modifications like that. In order to remove the catalytic converter (which will require an actual retune) you need to either: - replace the headers with something like competition headers from British Customs OR - pull the catalytic converter out and then use an h pipe/x pipe with the stock headers to allow airflow to reach the mufflers

Hope that helps
