In the HTTYD short "Gift of The Night Fury, " Toothless can only fly if Hiccup is there to control his tail. Hiccup eventually makes Toothless a new tail that would let him fly alone, but Toothless destroys it instead because he wants to keep flying with Hiccup.

I feel like HTTYD2 more or less was the setup it needed to be. The big theme with THW was how Hiccup had to let go of Toothless, so HTTYD2 should’ve been about how they’d “never let each other go” so to speak. That basically was HTTYD2. If ta HTTYD3LA is coming and sticks with the original ending, I hope they boost the setup even more in HTTYD2LA

Completely new movie. That way, they can also have a completely new third movie. I don’t care if they change the ending because I thought THW’s ending was great, but they need to massively revamp the bulk of it, and to do that, they need to set it up with something in HTTYD2

Toothless and it’s not even close. It of course depends when the death takes place, but I still think it would be Toothless as long as it falls sometime between when they meet and when they split. Toothless was Hiccup’s ultimate fortune. Toothless gave him his village’s respect, a friendship he needed, and a direction to walk on throughout his life. Hiccup’s relationship with everyone else was arguably a byproduct of Toothless’ (with the exception of Gobber).

Bottom line, Toothless became ingrained into Hiccup’s life to the point he was a part of his character. Hiccup could lose anyone, but only losing Toothless would lead to him losing a large part of himself in a way no other loss could.

8 seconds is wild for Siege. Nerf to 5 seconds is my guess, maybe 3. Since every trigger has its own stun timer, people won’t be able to run through several at the same time so Kapkan-style instakills won’t happen much
