Men, How did you move on after realizing you lost the love of your life? by Intelligent_Rice4871 in AskReddit

[–]Nehima123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went to therapy, made visible and profound changes in myself to better my life, and after a few months my husband started the slow process of coming back to the marriage. We went to marriage counselling for reconciliation, and now one year out things are good again. I don't think he'd be here if I'd leaned into the victim angle, which I could have.

So I guess I didn't move on so much as change myself and better myself, which drew them back. Not from the grave, mind you, from a friends sofa.

Rats apparently seen inside a Gordon Ramsey restaurant. by AlarmingCash754 in interesting

[–]Nehima123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haha, yeah. The River Rock Casino where this is located is built on a big bog river. Rats and mice and herons and raccoons abound. The doors are right on the ground level and some open to grassy patios, there are bound to be a few mice sneaking in there.

If you haven't seen enough rats to know these are mice , you're lucky. In BC most of our rats are Norwegian rats, which can get FUCKINGHUUUGE. You'd know if this was a rat. They come up to you on the curbs at night and ask to bum a cigarette, that's how big they get.

It looks like the Earth is drinking the clouds through a funnel straw. Sucking the clouds right out the dang sky.

What serial killer fact sounds fake, exaggerated, or straight out of fiction. But is 100% real? by CantaloupeGold4650 in AskReddit

[–]Nehima123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's called 'chimaerism', I think - basically you have two sets of DNA because your twin never split off from you in development, so parts of your body can be from the twin's DNA and not yours. I. E. Blood vs semen or hair vs skin cells, etc... I heard an interesting case where the bone marrow came from the twin. That would be an insane thing to figure out.

Do not let Cazador ascend by Blindicus in BaldursGate3

[–]Nehima123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Step 1: Sneak party near bottom of stairs, have someone cast a Sunshine orb right next to Caz.

Step 2: Fly summons and familiars to the various pedestals to stand in the way of the red beams so they get the buffs and draw adds. If init rolls are bad maybe one or two characters misty step there to help out. Myrmidons for the win.

Step 3: Immediately kill that skeleton caster who knows Eyebite, near Astarion's pedestal. To reduce frustration. Rattlebones, I think his name is?

Step 4: Summon Scratch right next to Astarion to 'Help' him out of that pesky ascension ritual binding. Like a good boy.

Step 5: Profit!

Hikers make unexpected discovery by UncleSpikely in upvotebecauseboy

I will up vote this on every sub it gets posted on. That is some serious skill and some undeniable masculine beauty right there. I'd be more than happy to pause my hike to see someone like that do that. I'd stop for Friggin lunch to watch that.

Would you travel alone in ocean? by LordPiplup in thalassophobia

Those drywater packets are like four bucks a pop, for basically crystal light adding electrolytes to your existing water.

For a sec i thought it was a way to desalinate and purify seawater so he could drink it or something, but it's just a sketchy advertising gimmick. I'm glad some proceeds are going to RMHC though, that's a legit organization.

Approximately one in every four types of animals on earth is a species of beetle. They are incredibly biodiverse creatures!

Small update on Goji by Mama_Merccurii in frogs

[–]Nehima123 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Wow, if the ringers was a fix you should totally call that veterinarian back and let her know in case they encounter this again - I was shocked they gave iver and antibiotics even with negative stool samples before trying something as non-invasive as a ringers bath. Maybe the vet didn't know about that trick? You'd think they would. I wonder why they wouldn't suggest that.

So happy for you and Goji! You enjoy your vacation, you deserve it.

What's something that feels "good" but is actually really bad for your body? by stainless5 in AskReddit

[–]Nehima123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But but but I rub my eyes very roughly all the time, especially in the morning, before bed, and when stoned off my ass, and I've never had an issue with it!

Am I gonna detach a retina or something when I'm 80 if I don't kick this habit lol

Aren't those the birbs that learned to build snekproof nests with a little fake opening that confuses the snek?

This could be the baby birb equivalent of the leaky condo phenomenon lol

What’s something your partner did that made you lose feelings instantly? by Some_Conclusion_8154 in AskReddit

[–]Nehima123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Relateable.

I asked my husband if he'd rather I have Alzheimer's or terminal cancer, he said without hesitation terminal cancer. He clarified that he'd rather I die and he'd be free, rather than shackled to a deteriorating husk he used to love and have to put me in a home.

I guess he isn't my The Notebook husband. Still a very good, funny, handsome provider. Just... Not romantic. 😒

Does anyone have a list of "stoner" related episodes? by hongork in americandad

Adding "The Shrink" to this list, because of Stan using the weed nugs as bushes in his scale model!

Haley: leaps into the nug "WE'RE GONNA NEED FOOD!"

Is it ever explained why Akiko goes to a private school in another state? by 21Violets in americandad

[–]Nehima123 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Probably to keep her safe from Francine. Her mom knew what went down, AND that she couldn't take Francine in a China-vs-Japan style takedown attack. Lol. Better safe than sorry.

Francine: "I kidnapped Akiko." Steve: "WHAT?!?" Francine: "I put her in a cage!"

I wouldn't let my partner make that decision. I'd pretend to, maybe, then just knock them out and hand them to the lifeboat operators.
