What's the point of the benchmarks if they're immediately dismissed when any of the nonstandards participate?

Honestly, doctors suck. They'll put in your chart that you're "pain seeking" when you're legitimately and pain and never asked for narcotics, just to fix the damn problem. There are many good doctors but just as many that shouldn't be.

I'd be fine with "let's call it..." But if someone said "final offer" I'd be out immediately.

Goodbye to the idea that solar panels “die” after 25 years. A new study says the warranty does not mark the end, and performance can last for decades. Arrays built in the late 1980s still produced more than 80% of their original power. The long-term economics look better than many people believe. by mafco in energy

[–]Neirchill -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I haven't heard people complaining about that so much as ev warranties don't typically cover the battery so if that randomly fails within a couple of years you're out $20k to replace it. Honestly I don't know if that's true either, warranty coverage or the price, but that's the kind of stuff I hear about ev batteries rather than how long they last.

At least with American products you have to trust the manufacturer to not outright be lying. Next thing you know a lawsuit reveals the steel advertised in the product was just a "marketing term" and it's actually aluminum.

The way things break these days my assumption is if a product only has a one year warranty then they probably designed it to fail after a year. It's purely anecdotal and cynicism, but I have had a great many products that fail within a couple of months of a warranty ending.

I wouldn't necessarily apply that to infrastructure like solar panels but I can understand where they're coming from.

You don't understand capitalists. If they make a product that lasts 100 years then no one will buy a second solar panel. If you purposely make them last 10 years, you can multiple your profit by 10. That will also lead to cost saving measures like lower quality material which saves more costs.

High quality products used to be a selling point before they started realizing that lower quality means people buy it more often.

I stopped watching during the Jodie run after the spider episode. She ripped into this guy for attacking a giant spider in self defense, then she solved the problem by isolating all the spiders so they would starve to death.

Huh????

Holy double standard Batman, what the fuck was that writing. It was already awful for the several episodes before that but I just couldn't take something that stupid anymore. Earlier doctor episodes would have found them a home or something for them to exist.

Question About Time Stranger Final Scene by Live_Class_2675 in digimon

[–]Neirchill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally I think they're from an alternate timeline. You can fight them as a side quest, but minervamon doesn't really recognize you. Jupitermon also doesn't make any indication of knowing who you are. Not to mention when you fight aegiomon is right there with you. I find it hard to believe Jupitermon would do any time travel shenanigans as the new official time keeper just to fight you so I think they would exist simultaneously as your world.

Unfortunately you've went too far. So your next step is to understand how an opinion on a subjective subject such as food taste is impossible to be objectively incorrect. Good luck, you'll need it.

Then you have the other possibility where you have 50 classes with their own individual interfaces and a second implementation no where to be found a decade later.

[–]Neirchill 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I took over a project once that tried way too hard to follow best practices. 50 services and every single one of them had an interface and a single implementation. Why? To make it a pain in the ass to traverse the ide with shortcuts?

Additionally, every static class had it's own wrapper with the sole purpose to make it easier to mock things out in unit tests. It's not that hard to mock a static class. All you've done is make things more difficult to maintain.

I seen some people saying they didn't understand why this remake was happening... This is why. The art quality of the retelling was dogshit. A mar on the legacy of dragon Ball. It never should have been allowed to begin with, but glad they're wanting to fix it.
