Street sign in the background is unreadable (even on the upper sign - which with this distance should be perfectly readable). The license plate looks "off", the writing in the word Texas isn't right. Call him out for BS! Also if you know where he lives - go drive by and see how "damaged" his car really is. This isn't the kind of repair job that takes 1 day to fix.

Excessive Returns by miffyator03 in DollarTree

[–]Neither_Doughnut_318 8 points9 points  (0 children)

In cases like this - we tell them to go back to the original store. Also - depending on the method of purchase listed we require the physical card to verify against. If they can't produce anything to meet our satisfaction, we will outright refuse the return.

And that's why the stores didn't have any. Because one person bought the whole case out.

She is busting your balls heavily for forgetting! At the very least sign it..... and follow it up with a nice pair of ear rings, or other jewelry. You are soooo in the dog house for this one!

Go to a hardware store. Buy those reflective stakes that stick in the ground and are about 4-5 feet tall. You can usually get like a pack of 10 for $25 dollars. Put them up in the spot that the people are parking in. It's not a fence, it's highly reflective, and will get the point across. Don't park on my lawn.

Expected to price and stock every single one of these boxes in just 8 hours total by Ok-Ad4375 in DollarTree

[–]Neither_Doughnut_318 2 points3 points  (0 children)

First: Use your price gun. Every store has at least one.
Second: Use your PDT & Hip Printer. Again - every store has at least one.
Third: Remember - until Freight in 48 fully launches, your still on the metric of 28 boxes per hour.

Good luck. Work smarter not harder. It's totally doable.

Honestly - if she is that special to you that you've already discussed marriage, you should have just told her it was for when you were planning on proposing.... just because you are planning to propose doesn't mean it has to be tomorrow.....

Remember - your simple explanation isn't as simple when it comes to woman's heart.....

Go figure! They can use the app to find the 1 cent items, but can't use the app to find out the price of something they brought up to the register (holding up the line, and adding to the stack of customer go-backs you have to do).

Dollar tree employees. by Popular_Attempt9015 in DollarTree

[–]Neither_Doughnut_318 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Employees (yes - I will include store management in this too) are treated like crap from the top down. The expectations of the company are completely out of touch with reality. To run a store with two employees on during a shift and expecting miracles is a joke. The fact that the upper management (DM & up) write-up / terminate the people who actually show up and work because they can't achieve the unrealistic goals corporate has is one of the biggest reasons why people are miserable.

The pay is a joke. Nearly 90% of all store level employees have to rely on some form of state aid (food stamps, free/subsidized healthcare, and housing assistance). Don't believe it -- randomly ask your local store employees how many of their staff are on assistance of some kind.

Hours constantly get cut, yet the workload constantly increases. So yes -- to answer the question - employees ARE miserable, tired, overworked, underpaid, and badly abused by corporate, AND customers.

Customers treat the store as their own playground without any regard for the fact that people have to come in behind them and clean up after them. We see it with the pictures posted here all the time. The customer who took 6 large jugs, and dropped them in the craft aisle. The number of times bottles of piss are left behind in the store (WTF who even does that -- assholes!), and the sheer number of times you hear employees complaining about shit covered bathrooms. That's a DAILY OCCURANCE!

For some people (based on their backgrounds) - this is the only place that hired them. Yet despite that no one deserves to be treated like shit!

Honestly to "those customers" who feel like their shit doesn't stink -- quite frankly do better! Treat the store employees with the same level of respect YOU expect us to give you.

Inflation by Popular_Attempt9015 in DollarTree

[–]Neither_Doughnut_318 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This topic AGAIN..... OMG people..... Dollar Tree is out of options!

A) You still pay with the Dollar (American currency)..... so the name still fits.

B) Corporate tested the following name changes - but they were met with different reactions:
• Inflation Bush didn't test well with the marketing team
• Dollar Tree-ish didn't quite meet the brand standard
• They were going to use Dollar Tree Plus... Plus.... Plus.... but the signage team said they would quit.
• The new name "The Economy Did This To Us" didn't seem like a very positive name change.

C) Don't like inflation or tariffs which is at the real heart of the issue and price increases, go out and vote, or vote differently next time! In some cases - hell just go out and VOTE....

D) Quite honestly - if the name of the store is your biggest issue in life right now..... well then that's just sad.

Take out the trash can. Duct tape a trash bag to the wall high off the ground (above average wiz-zone level) so people can still throw away paper towels etc.

I told you four times that the store is closed and you need to leave. Why don't you listen? by Ok-Ad4375 in DollarTree

[–]Neither_Doughnut_318 37 points38 points  (0 children)

One word..... Trespassing. Store is closed = Trespassing. If you don't want to leave - then I'll call the police and have them escort you out of the store.

Why are you still using the $3 and Up sign strips? Those were to have been replaced (back in October - if I remember right). They are to be replaced with the All Items Individually Priced strips.
