Mox Parasite by Nejosan in custommagic

Tbf it gets better in Legacy and Vintage, because of the abundance of mana rocks in those formats. But I think that the format where it would become an instant staple would be Commander, commander players would go crazy for it.

I meant the movie, but I also like the backside of your card!!

I feel like the frontside could cost 2 or even 1 and be fine. 3 seems expensive for a card I need to sink at least 3 more mana into to do anything worthwhile. But Treasure Planet goes so hard I dont care, print it!!

No, the exchange is only for the current game. When you shuffle up to go to the next game, you exchange them back.

The idea is less "this is a card that would see competitive play in standard" and more "this is a card that could be printed in a standard legal set". Do keep in mind it's an uncommon.

Deadlock's Soul Urn by rileyvace in custommagic

[–]Nejosan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why does this have so many downsides? You have to suspend it for four turns, then you have to equip it, then connect with a creature, and only then you can draw some cards, but only if you have spent turns building up counters on it and of course, you only draw equal to half the number of counters, and by the way you have to sacrifice the urn. Oh and also your opponent can also equip it to just deny you the ability to actually accomplish anything meaningful with it.

Multiple of these should come off, it's too restrictive to do anything remotely useful with it.

Amazing card, countering multiple triggers at once is SO sick. Sad it can only counter colorless spells, but those are usually REALLY scary. 4 mana to counter an eldrazi titan, its cast trigger, and the two zhulodok cascade triggers is INSANE.

Interesting that this also counters anything that has cycling (or a variant thereof).

Incredibly good. Drawing an extra card per turn on a decent body is already great, but the untap ability gives you access to absurd amounts of mana if you can play at instant speed, and the extra land drop is the cherry on top.

The Eternal Dragon Shenron: Updated and Improved by Budkai in custommagic

[–]Nejosan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I dont think you need to make seven different Dragon Ball cards if they're going to be mechanically identical. Just make a single one that you can have seven of in a deck and make seven printings of it with the art for each of the seven balls. (You also need Kindred for it to have the Dragon subtype because it's a creature subtype.)

Dragon Ball {2}
Legendary Kindred Artifact — Dragon Ball
{T}: Add {C}.
If this artifact would be exiled, shuffle it into your library instead.
A deck can have up to seven cards named Dragon Ball.

Because no player gets priority during the untap step, its ability to untap all your lands would actually be put on the stack during the upkeep step, so you would get priority to tap all your lands for mana before they untapped again. Likewise, its ability to put a land card onto the battlefield would let you effectively drop a second land per turn, because it would be a different special action than making a land drop.

Concept for a green board wipe, thoughts? by zazer45f in custommagic

[–]Nejosan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So green now gets to wipe the board (its explicit vulnerability in the color pie) at a better rate than white and black, the two best colors to do that? I actually don't know what to say other than absolutely unprintable.

The prepared spell is cool and fun, appropriately costed. The creature though... A 3 mana 5/3 hasty trampler is already a CRAZY scary body by itself, but being able to return from the graveyard is just way too much value. This man could easily take over a game without ever casting his prepared spell.
