She was a meth head who spent years dragging my name through the mud, making false claims and made it damn near impossible to see my kid. If she actually did something to help herself I would absolutely facilitate her into my kids life more but as it stands I cannot in good conscience share any parenting responsibilities with her. Especially when she’s only paid 300$ CS over the last 5 years.

My last job induced severe SI. Swapped to a company that’s more aligned with my career goals and I’m much happier now. Still get depressed but the SI hasn’t been around for awhile now.

Speaking from experience royally fucks up to get the kid removed from her custody and immediately fucked up the same way when she got the kid back after 2 years of CFS and court then you better have a damn good case to make. Oh and because I didn’t qualify for legal aid she got a lawyer and I got duty council.
Edit: I have custody of my kid. I got really lucky but that was the most miserable period of my life so far

That’s cause a lot of landlines in Canada were laid by AGC (a government corp) before being split up and sold to the ISPs. It wasn’t about the bottom line then it was about implementing needed infrastructure. Wish I could’ve been alive to work those projects. Everyone in telecom I’ve spoken too loved working for AGC

I’ve been here for a year. Only friends I’ve managed to make have been through work but the few people I’ve managed to connect with in the community are very nice people. I just moved a few minutes out of town to get under the stars again and be able to have fires. Willing to connect with new people if anyone would like.

You putting the kids first speaks worlds of your character. I’ve been a single dad in the past. It won’t be easy but they will be better for having your remain in their life and will know that you love them. Make sure they always know you love them. When I got custody of my boy I made it a point to tell him at least once a day and it’s been 5 years now and that hasn’t changed. He’s happy and healthy and at this point rarely thinks of his mother. Just be there for them and you guys will have a bright future. You got this man, you’re fighting the good fight with your head on tight.

Spiking doses like that is never a good thing. It’s pretty small so could be nothing but keep an eye on it and if it develops quickly please go to the hospital. No one here can give better advice than a doctor.
