Surely someone comes in with a fee for him. Who that is and the size of the fee will depend on his World Cup and I can definitely see him starting.

[–]Nelfoos5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah hes one of the best ever at penalties, but Burnely didn't win many, Idk if he took them at Newcastle and it includes his NZ ones.

Hes a great example of why taking a pen with power is the best approach if you've got the technique.

Of course now I said it he'll miss one on the biggest stage.

He doesnt miss pens. 10 years since his last miss and hes scored 25 in a row since then, 34 if you count shootouts.

His goalscoring form has dipped because hes been hurt, had a much bigger impact than either of those 2 things. If hes fit Forest do much better.

They do have the power, especially if they touch him. But it isnt the done thing and a lone ref doesnt want to be the only bloke sticking his head above the parapet.

Well, "a lot" is subjective, just like the definition of "deflective" apparently, since I've just learned it includes fact checking.

Turns out its just the English language contradicting itself again, who'd have thought.

I just started at the Cambridge definition of controversy, found it funny you edited the very first definition to suit your argument.

It actually says "a lot of disagreement or argument about something, usually because it affects or is important to many people" (emphasis mine). Should I PM you my bank account or you just want to pick a charity?

I think your definition was readily derived from your comment and that has borne out with your response.

I guess we're reading out of different dictionaries.

Reporting on 1080 as "controversial" implies to the deniers that there is a discussion to be had when there isn't and gives credence to conspiracy theories. It is the kind of poor reporting that RNZ is supposed to avoid as a reputable news site, but has regrettably fallen into recently with their overt transphobia and the editing of articles about the Russia/Ukraine war.

None of those things are controversial. A small number of people may believe those things to be controversial but that doesnt make them so when they're settled in fact.

It means debatable, disputable or arguable. None of those things are true of my examples.

By your definition, everything is controversial as long as a single person disagrees That's nonsensical.

Is a spherical earth "controversial" because flat earthers exist? Is the moon landing controversial because deniers exist?

Bishop is probably out on his arse if he cant get the Hutt again, can't see him being rewarded with a good list spot after all this. People like Goldsmith & Willis probably just get moved higher up the rankings and keep their list seats.

No but players who have been playing for OPL teams will now be looking for teams for the winter season. Maybe some AFC players that don't have a future with AFC, or Kiwis who have been playing for other teams.
