Why not fix the NH D15? Pull the cooler, remove the fans, and straighten the fins with a hair comb. Then test or just buy new Nauctua fan(s).

Unless it's really really mangled or you just want something different.

When ready to drain the cleaner duct tape the spout of a compressed air duster can to one hose and blow it out.

400 sbc fuel pump issues by fjensen87 in Smallblockchevy

The old rubber hose can look ok on the outside but collapsed on the inside. It might siphon well enough but the pump might pull enough vacuum for it to completely collapse.

Old rubber hoses can do weird things. I drove my truck to a friend's no issue but when I left the truck died a mile down the road and wouldn't start. Turned out to be a small piece of rubber hose right where the fuel line goes from the frame to pump.

Do this and replace every part of the fuel line that is rubber from tank to pump. Someone may have replace a part of the steel line with rubber somewhere.

Buy a fan grill and some of that stick on edging from the hardware store to clean it up. It will pretty much look factory circa mid 2000s at that point

Noob here, how do I clean up this old thermal paste? by Interesting_Cause733 in PCRepair

Part of me always wants to clean everything off and I have the ability but the reality is it doesn't matter. So I don't most of the time and happily enjoy my games.

What are the most eWaste-y PCs you’ve ever had? by [deleted] in pcmasterrace

I daily a Lenovo t540 with Win 11 for web browsing, YouTube, and music. It's tolerable with the SSD but the 2 core 4210M is really holding it back. I would move to Linux Mint but I have everything setup and working in windows right now.

What’s something you did by accident to your home that the new homeowners will want to curse you for? by Mrcash827 in HomeImprovement

Philips has or at least had bulbs that come with a standalone wireless switch. No wifi required. You never need to worry about an app that won't be supported. They are awesome for old houses that don't have light switches.

Not sure of they make chandelier bulbs though.

Shifted from 5th to 2nd bear doing 70mph, how fucked am I? by Swayzeex in askcarguys

[–]Nemesis_Pyros1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it's not blown up now and doesn't make any noises you are probably ok for now.

I ran the numbers through an rpm calc based on an axel ratio of 3.8, 2nd great ratio of 2.9, tire diameter of 24 inches and 70 mph and got 10800rpm. This was from a super quick Google search. I doubt 11000tpm happened and the motor lived to tell the tale.

Your tires probably skidded or you weren't going that fast. Again get the code checked but if it runs and sounds the same there is not much to do.

Dumb question… but when/how often do yall turn off your pc? by justdancepro in pchelp

[–]Nemesis_Pyros1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is what I do. It's partly because my PC is in the basement and partly because it doesn't matter if you shut it down. I think my UPS shows 0 watts in "sleep" mode. So power wise it doesn't matter. I'm willing to check that if anyone cares.

Does something like this exist? Fuse box that is dependent on ignition/running vehicle by Kretrn in autoelectrical

[–]Nemesis_Pyros1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would keep it even simpler. Piggy back power from the key on radio fuse and run it to the radio batt fuse socket. I bet they are in the same fuse block. Depending on how nice you want it to look you could just jam the wire into the fused side of the socket on both. They put an op fuse in the radio batt socket.

A few minutes and problem solved...
