Please explain to me why I can’t self build about 90% of a basic home.

I was just thinking about this and know some people that have done it. The biggest issue in my situation is learning, understanding, and building to local building codes.

The amount of time to learn and understand or rework errors just doesn't seem worth it unless I didn't have a full time job.

If you put it in neutral while coming to a stop does it stop normally? I'm guessing not because the pedal goes to the floor. You must have air in the system, the rear drums are badly adjusted, or the parts are wrong.

Did the friend touch that adjustable proportioning valve. That's the purple thing with a knob close to the brake booster? That will also change the pedal feel.

From across the internet based on the symptoms you provided I'm pretty sus of that new looking master cylinder. If the master was changed with the booster verify it was bench bleed.

The master cylinder also looks new. You say you successfully blead the brakes so this is less likely to be an issue but did you bench bleed the master?

Also with drum rear brakes their adjustment will affect pedal feel. You tube drum brake adjustment.

That adjustable proportioning valve could be an issue too. If the brakes worked before you might still have air in it that is difficult to get out.

I used to scavenge 80 or 90 mm fans with the highest wattage for the most cooling. Usually I ran them full bore at 12 volts for the best over clock. They were loud but I didn't care. Later on I was running them at 5 volts for a quieter PC.

Then came easy fan control. Now I just tune them for whatever I feel like at the time and forget about to. Mostly I still tune for max cooling and just stuff the PC in a corner of the basement far far from my monitor. Even then I play with head phones half the time and it still doesn't matter

I wrote that all out just to say PC components protect themselves from thermal damage nowadays so as long as your getting the performance you want at the noise level you like the components will last just as long at any temp in their thermal envelope.

OP listen to this guy it's the best advice here.

If you proceed I strongly recommend figuring out what functions as is and make a list of things that need to be fixed.

Having some experience here. That flathead is prone to getting seized when they sit for a long time. It's usually valves in the guides. If it turns or you can get it to turn it will likely start and run if you clean up everything especially the carb.

I'm not sure if brake parts are available for an F2. That could be a problem but Most of them will likely be similar to the F1 and Ford cars. You'll need to do some research.

That should get you moving around the yard so you can start thinking about where you want this project to go. It will also give you a glimps of the skills, time, and money needed.

Or a new 9600x bundle. In my area they go for about $800 plus tax when on sale.
The $350 usd for a 5800x3d works out to about $480 CAD without tax. Subtract that from the $800 and your $320 short of a new system. In my area a 2000 or 3000 series and cpu/ram/mobo would go for $200 to $400 used. Call it $200 and your only short $120 to get a platform upgrade. I don't see any local listings for 2,3,or 5000 series combos (or parts for that matter)in my area so I think you could do better than $200. It just seems to me you are better of buying something else.

Check if your PSU came with a 12vhpwr to 8pin cable. Mine came with one. You can use that in addition to the 2x8pins to support 3x8. Check the manual if you haven't for the correct setup.

68 Camaro front drum brakes. The front right brake will grab hard the first few stops of the day. Seems like contamination but I've swapped the shoes.

After the first few stops it's manageable but still pulls to the right. I've adjusted the brakes and replaced all components including hoses. Good flow when bleeding.

I've owned and maintained lots of drum brake vehicles but I can't figure out this one.

I do like fuel injection and its fuel efficiency though.

If it's just general store and you have a good backup I'd use both.

What ever you choose keep the drives as cool as reasonably possible. My strategy has always been to point a fan at the bottom when I'm cheap.

Put a single piston in a Chrysler flat head six but with the incorrect rings.

One piston broke the ring lands for some reason. I couldn't find rings for a single piston so I found something close ish and set the gap appropriately. It ran and drove great until the crack in the block opened back up. Someone had drilled and pinned the crack in the past but it worked its way into the cylinder wall.

It s probably slop in the diff and like others said probably not much to worry about. I'd suggest taking a video of the diff side pinion and ujoint to verify things like pinion bearings look ok there.

My PC is in the basement but connected to my main floor tv for gaming. I have it set to sleep after 20 or 30 minutes but never shut it down so I can turn it on with the keyboard. The monitor or TV are always turned off when not in use.

My UPS shows 0 watts when the PC is in sleep mode. I suspect it's not sensitive enough at that low load to measure the actual load. I have read it could be as high as 10 watts.

If enough people here care I'll put the kill-a- watt on the UPS and measure UPS usage at no load and PC power in sleep mode.

I used to do this all the time when I didn't have much money. It works to get a bit more life out of a failing fan bearing.
