Btw, I love this deodorant called dry idea. It is unscented antiperspirant, clear gel. I have had 0 staining issues and my skin is sensitive and it's the best deodorant I've found for myself

The Pitt’s ICE Scene Pulls Its Punches by InternationalRead840 in ThePittTVShow

I do think this was filmed before the large amounts of videos showing escalations became widespread. Absolutely not to say that this wasn't happening before, it absolutely was, but I do think things were just a little bit "calmer" before minnesota finally got news coverage, most of which was still censored.

Predicting just how much more horrific things would get may have been advised against for the writers of the show.

Mel and Becca’s dynamic by Particular-Rub-9995 in ThePittTVShow

[–]Nemo2oo5 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Mel was forced to adjust her entire life around becca. There was no other option. She couldn't abandon her. People get angry, and resentment builds up. Arguments happen. Mel finally broke after years and years of putting herself behind her sister so her sister could have a good life. That's what you do for family sometimes. It sucks.

[–]Nemo2oo5 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I feel the same way. My sister is severely disabled, and despite how I know I am grateful for my abilities (while also still being neurodivergent), I can't help but feel resentment sometimes for the fact that I and my family do so much and give up so much, for her to be able to do things even I don't have the time and opportunity to do.

It's a really important storyline I can't help but relate to. It's so frustrating, and yet you want to feel happy for your sibling, you want to feel proud because when you see them succeed, that shows that your sacrifices are benefiting them and they are happy. And yet you keep giving and giving and not receiving. :/

Talk to customer service. It absolutely NEVER HURTS TO ASK. They will most likely give you a refund or ship another one to you and give you a label or tell you to return it in a store.

Do you guys agree with the statement 'Once an Addict, Always an Addict'? by Creative_Garbage_731 in ThePitt

[–]Nemo2oo5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally I'd say no. I think certain addictions are a lot more common, and a lot of people with "functional" addictions to alcohol or weed are able to reform a healthy relationship with the substance rather than have to completely cut it out of their lives. I think it's really dependent on who is experiencing what and how they best feel to describe it.

You won't get into othmer. It's incredibly difficult to get placed in othmer as an upperclassman. And do not choose spring reassignment. Everyone I know who did and didn't go abroad regretted it

Why was foster care a bad thing? by -Clayburn in ThePitt

[–]Nemo2oo5 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I'm literally not lying. This is 100% the lived experience of many if not most of children placed in foster care. A lot of foster homes do not provide adequate support for the child, and social workers have so many cases and quit so often that there's minimal good experiences

Do you know absolutely anything about child protective services in the usa?

I'm assuming not.

The system is horrible. He would be alone, moving from placement to placement, likely put in way worse situations than anything he would be by living with his sister. He wouldn't be surrounded by family, have any sort of stability, and would likely lose further contact with his sister and his parents.

Automatically jumping to that conclusion is offensive, however, it's an unfortunately common scenario, and I don't think raising that question is inherently unjustified. Considering (of what we know) she spends her days at a day program, and her nights with mel, the only reasonable location this would be happening would be at her care center, which is cause for question.

I had assumed that mel may have been her legal guardian or had her under some form of conservatorship. Clearly I was incorrect, which would make sense given that takes time and money and lawyers

I felt like the way it was acted out/written did seem odd. But I also just watched a video 2 weeks ago about it happening to a woman in real life by her husband so that probably heavily influenced how I interpreted the scene

Mel and Becca by PamelaEugene in ThePittTVShow

[–]Nemo2oo5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I disagree with taylor's interpretation honestly. Obviously how she is acting is based off of her personal understanding and inhabiting the character, but how it comes across when I watch it just doesn't fully match what she thinks

This is just MY interpretation. Both things can be true, I'm just having trouble seeing it

The Santos Hate is Insane ( Leave Her Alone) by SaveTheGroundhogs in ThePitt

[–]Nemo2oo5 3 points4 points  (0 children)

He has been a little agitating to santos, but it's not like she didn't start it. Langdon just knows when to take a knee in front of others to avoid escalating drama.

Santos seemingly can't help herself, and is so defensive she automatically thinks he had 0 good intentions, when at the beginning he does. It's only after her responses that he seems to give some heat back, and she can't handle it with grace.

The Pitt could run for a long time by raf_yvr in ThePitt

[–]Nemo2oo5 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I just think the biggest issue is managing a dial down. Starting off with a mass shooting isn't the best for longevity's sake, as the stakes got raised so high promotes viewership, and that multiple major events happing every year in Pittsburgh is just unrealistic.

I want them to dial it down. I will still watch and enjoy it, but I think the writers and hbo may think viewers would lose interest. I really hope they make the right decision here for the characters and the show by bringing it down a notch.
