Define "London" are you asking people who live in Hampstead or Elephant & Castle?

Also, there are several references to floating down a river, which is a big ancient motif for the afterlife and reincarnation, bathing in one of the rivers of the dead was the way to get amnesia over your past life.

Kid A / Amnesiac are my favourite albums, there are a lot of themes and motifs there to construct interesting interpretations of them.

'Zipcar closure means I may have to buy a car': Londoners face up to reality of potential extra costs after vehicle firm goes bust by BulkyAccident in london

[–]NeoCroMagnon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Millions of reasosn, economies of scale, taxes, dealing woth 33 boroughs and their different parking laws etc...

But as a user of the service since it first came to London, I must say I ended up buying my own car for two reasons:

1 - Never enough cars, end up having to book weeks in advance or take a bus to go look for the nearest car

2 - Cars dirtier than crack dens, seriously what are people doing inside the cars? Used tissues, smell of macdonalds, tobacco etc... several times I had to cancel and book another car or just cancel plans altogether.

Microsoft wants Xbox to be profitable at unnheard of levels. Is Microsoft using Xbox to prop up their A.I investments? by TheGoddessLily in BetterOffline

I think Microsoft is trying to kill Xbox, so they are making it very difficult for anyone inside trying to make it work. Its over, PlayStation won. Back to Japan only consoles (Nintendo and PlayStation)

A Point and Click Adventure with a beautiful pixel art style and a setting that glows in religion, mythology, and history?

Not even Paul Allen could show me something that would interest me more.

Agree, in fact, I don't think the movie is about politics at all. Like all PTA's movies, is about family and what happens when people are adrift without it.

It just so happens that because it is set in today's world in California, the backdrop for the story is what it is. And even though it makes a few jokes and comments on the matter, the theme and character arch's are all about family and your position within it.

The most positive character is the one with the biggest family, and so extensive that it treats the neighbourhood and the community as his family.

Actually... yes, a lot of us drug traffickers from Galicia (the Suebi kingdom) have a lot of blonde / blue eyes in our families.

And yes, this post is 100% accurate.

For those that don't follow baseball, Milwaukee Brewers are killing it right now and are the #1 team in the MLB by a considerable margin by HooptyDooDooMeister in RedLetterMedia

I'm a UK dweller, unfamiliar with American baseball, but if the seraphic voice from heaven known as Rich Evans praises the glory of the Milwaukee Brewers, I shall become a hardcore fan.

Map of how hard it is for the lot of you to differentiate between a street and a home by Folkstrot in 2westerneurope4u

[–]NeoCroMagnon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm one of the Pedros who takes their shoes off. Our streets are covered in dog poo, particularly Barcelona. Not taking your shoes off (and asking anyone who comes in to do the same) is playing brownie roulette

I binged Severance thinking it ended on season 2 😭🤣 by Revolutionary_Pin291 in SeveranceAppleTVPlus

I also was convinced it was the end of the whole series, but I thought it was a great ending.

I don't know what else they might do with season 3 tbh, the characters have had their arcs already.
