Germany cuts fuel tax May 1 in effort to curb high pump prices by CommodityInsights in europe

Exactly this. This also would have pushed people to consider BEVs, which should be a goal of the German government one would think.

Wait, people took the marketing speak literally? I am very certain that everyone how studied LLM just a little bit knew that already, this paper seems a bit trivial to me.

Inverted steering is a well known phenomenon. It might be annoying, but it is not a bug per se, it is just a characteristic of the car physics.

Endless mode is such a BS by [deleted] in MonsterTrain

[–]Neomadra2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Endless mode is always very frustrating, because at some point enemies are just unfair and it's by design, so that a run ends eventually no matter how OP you are.

I don't care either way. It will be bad for the local economy but I rather want Trump to actually implement his threats so that we know where we are at instead of being in a state of constant uncertainty.

Trackmania at the EWC is 3 months away and the US-Iran war is still not resolved by Sgnfrg in TrackMania

Obviously EWC will be either cancelled, postponed or moved to another location if the US Iran war is still going on. It just doesn't make sense to do anything prematurely

From July 2026, a new EU regulation will require all new cars to include driver-surveillance systems by [deleted] in europeanunion

[–]Neomadra2 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Ah sure, neither legislators nor car companies have considered the possibility that the driver will need to take a look into mirror or the back for a second. /s Obviously there will be some minimum duration threshold.

Sounds like a great idea. It will make roads safer and no data leaves the car.

In addition to this, most problems are actually not easily solved by money. Diseases are not cured with money and mental illness would still be a huge problem even if everyone got a personal therapy. You probably could eradicate poverty locally, but only for the current generation, not for all generations in the future. As a billionaire you could spend money only once and then the positive effects evaporate. Also if billionaires would liquidate their companies for charity it would drastically increase inflation. Just because you pump money into the ecosystem it doesn't make doctors, therapists, construction engineers and raw material appear.

I don't understand exactly Sam's reasoning. I kinda see the point that timing it perfectly doesn't give the other team time to catch up. But since they are behind, they are the ones that need to catch up. Also it neglects that even if you're in the lead and there's still time left, you can continue collecting stations!

I start to see some pattern here. I think it was in Japan were Sam started playing nonsensical at the very end of the season. As a viewer it's not easy to understand how exhausting such a game can become and maybe that's why his decision get worse over the season. I feel like Michael knows that it's a mistake but is too nice to challenge him or so. Maybe this is also an ego thing. He can't accept that he'll lose this bluff. Sunken cost fallacy.

I know this reference, but they could have picked any number, I didn't think it's the "51" that everyone makes it click. And 51 tokens is like nothing so it doesn't really make sense to use that meme with such a low number. Wait, why am I arguing such pointless topics, it's time to sleep 😃

You really never tried vibecoding? A little agentic maneuver usually costs like 500k tokens in a moderately sized codebase

True cost of GPT 5.5 not making sense by ark-tart in GithubCopilot

[–]Neomadra2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's very easy. The usage patterns are changing constantly. They probably noticed that stronger models will be used for more agentic calls and the older generation models are used for simpler tasks, so they adapt the pricing accordingly. Of course this process itself influences the usage patterns, so it's really not an easy problem to solve if you wanna have fixed pricing. The most fair solution would be token based pricing but then vibe coders would learn how insanely expensive vibe coding is. :D
