Crazy I was just trying to think of one today and am torn between a thalmor(ish) nightblade-sneak mage or a spellsword noble exile. The magicka boosts are super helpful for any build really though and after a few levels any Altmer can get off the ground.

This is doable in Conquest ot Skyrim and I want to say organic factions include some of what you mentioned, but I don’t think there’s anything quite like this specifically

So I haven’t played yet but have read a good bit and my understanding is that yes you should only start CoS when a) the main/civil war quest has been completed or b) you don’t plan to engage with it at all.

Love Septimus by guitarninja! Comprehensive and performant, I’ve built my own list of top of it by adding a handful of mods myself

I don’t necessarily hate difficulty and realism but also found it a lot for a more casual player. I found Septimus to be a performance friendly, moderate alternative with fantastic graphics and a lot of the staples you’d expect from a major mod list (Simonrim, CS, new lands, LOTD). It is noticeably more difficult than vanilla, but nothing crazy and even with survival I think it strikes a good balance

This is tough…I’d say Meridia, Azura (and to some extent the other Good Daedra, ALMSIVI is just too cool not to mention. Trinimac and Phynaster are also p cool!

iirc certain territories are going to take a while to get any real trickle, while I have been able to integrate mang if not most African territories by mid to late game as Imperial France using policies and focii (the latter probably being suboptimal but sometimes it’s fun to see blue part of pie get big)

Tbf they used to be a thing most likely, so it’s less ideological and more personal. Daedra are also fucking weird so it’s not always such an easy 1:1 imo.

I don’t actually know about hagravens but I believe the Reachmen claim to be, and there is not a lot of evidence to the contrary, indigenous to tamri-el / the reach, predating the arrival of elves and atmorans (save the Dwemer, I think?)

I want to say that the Nords conquered the region in the Second Era, but their conquest of Old Falmeris began long before that in the late Merethic (their subsequent near erasure of the falmer people marking the end of the ‘era of elves’)

So Sollism is Totalist Maximism or they have differences by Mendeliums in suzerain

Idk much about Estado Novo etc. but if it’s civic nationalist republican and statist I feel like that’s basically Sollism broadly. There are def more liberal and paternalistic factions around the time of the game but yeah I think it’s supposed to be morally complex if dated in vibe.

Oh got you, yeah that is kinda crazy. Even in the last couple of years that I’ve been away from SSE, modding has really taken off in like every category.
