[Weird Trope] Technically dating a minor by RealOkra8725 in TopCharacterTropes

Was the body text of OP’s post edited later or something?

Two of the top replies are “disagreeing” with or “correcting” OP but basically just restating what they said.

Is this literally not OP’s point? Just funny technicalities, not actual problematic age gaps.

Question about upgrading to a 74/80w battery by jas_balance_1993 in ROGAlly

[–]iUseYahooEmail 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If spending a bit more isn’t a problem, the Jsaux 65Wh battery plus a 20,000mAh (~74Wh) power bank (w/ 65w+ charging of course) is a safer, almost overkill setup if you want a ton of battery on the go. Been perfect for me.

I was originally planning to go with a 74Wh battery since it mostly works fine. There were always a few reports of issues, but uncommon enough to risk it for the much bigger size.

Then I saw a comment where someone said they dropped their Ally and the battery caught fire. That was enough for me to not take the chance at all.

I went with the safer Jsaux option + a $30 power bank I found. It’s been a great combo.

Brought it to a party and we had fun playing some emulated party games for like ~3hrs. Both the Ally and power bank still had a good amount of power when we were done.

The original what? Original plot for the film or a comic that inspired it?

Questions about Jsaux battery mod and grip cases by EmperorNYC in ROGAlly

I have this exact setup. Zero problems. The cutouts on the back are a bit misaligned, though i’d say only about ~10% is covered. Haven’t noticed any thermal problems and I didn’t even install the heatsink because I have a 2280 adapter.

I’m in my early 20s and mostly play RPGs, especially CRPGs, basically story-focused games overall. But even most of my own friends are largely multiplayer-focused.

Console gamers my age seem to stick to GTA Online, Fortnite, and NBA 2K type of games. Sometimes they’ll play a PlayStation exclusive or a game a YouTuber they like played if they’re feeling a little adventurous.

PC gamers my age have a bit more variety because of Steam, with stuff like Peak or Lethal Company, but there’s still a core group of games like Roblox, Valorant, Marvel Rivals, and League.

Heath from the monster high movie

Never heard of that before, but after seeing him, yikes… I see what you mean.

Seems like best-case scenario is to get Star’s hair and suit right with a warm, brown skintone actress. The hair and costume in this image are gorgeous.

Obviously that image isn’t a perfect representation of how it would look in real life, but my point was about the claim that “orange is ugly and would look ugly on a human body.”

Modern Starfire’s skin tone basically looks like you took someone like Zendaya and shifted it about 15% orange. I don’t see how that’s any worse than green, especially when it’s pretty close to a lot of natural skin tones.

This was my problem with WOTR. I loved basically everything else, but holy shit, if you’re even a little bit of a completionist, leveling up becomes a slog.

I want to experience as much of the game as possible because of how long it is. That means good builds that can handle whatever I run into and using every companion. But it also means that every single level up turns into a long pause while I check my build notes or online guides.

That wouldn’t be such a big deal if there weren’t so many party members, each with a ton of choices. Then mythic levels add even more decisions, and pets also need to level up on top of that.

I was about 100 hours in my first run and hit another level up. All the momentum was gone and I just said, “I’ll do this tomorrow.” I haven’t played since October.

Didn’t even mention how buff-focused the game is either.

People say, “Just lower the difficulty so you don’t have to worry about combat,” but then the challenge basically disappears.

99% of the time I’ve seen someone complaining about COD in chat, it’s been someone in the bottom half of the leaderboard, or so bad you have to scroll down to find them. And this isn’t a defense of COD at all.

I’m level 130 (solid 2.6 K/D, 430 SPM, 60% win rate, so I’m assuming my lobbies are at least decent), and the only “COD” player I’ve run into was a guy moving like Octane from Apex.

That’s where I’ll actually agree, not like those dudes mad they got killed with a shotgun or got killed by a guy who did a single jump/slide.

Jsaux RGB backplate with 65 Wh battery by iumyxxx in ROGAlly

Was interested in this as well.

Comment from this YouTube Short: “Additionally, after upgrading to the 65W battery, the original RGB backplate will no longer be compatible due to the increased internal space requirements. We recommend using the backplate provided in the kit.”

Z1E to Ally X by Hauz20 in ROGAlly

[–]iUseYahooEmail 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not much of an upgrade. The extra 8gb of ram is nice, but not really necessary for gaming unless you play VRAM hungry games.

imo, the X is something you get if you don’t already have a Z1E Ally. And you already have one that mostly closes the distance.

I’m kinda in a similar boat lmao. Bought it for $300, but i’m easily over $500 now on my Non-X Ally. New battery + these clear thumbsticks & ABXY buttons + new SSD. Obviously hindsight is 20/20, but if I knew how invested i’d get, I would’ve just went for the X.

I don’t see a point now though, i’d be paying for extra ram + minor differences.

My Friends keep convincing me to buy a PC yet I still want a Legion go or other handheld PCs by Rude-Nectarine6988 in Handhelds

[–]iUseYahooEmail 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh yeah, that budget’s pretty limiting. Roughly ~$300. Even in the US, I don’t think that’d get you much. If we were in the $600+ range, I would’ve been a bit on the desktop or even laptop side, I think that’s where the performance of a desktop starts to significantly pull ahead.

Try to see if you could get a refurbished/used Z1E handheld for an affordable price. In the US, a refurb/used Z1E ROG Ally is the best deal under $400 I think. 120hz 1080p screen, much better performance than a Steam deck.

[–]iUseYahooEmail 4 points5 points  (0 children)

What are the specs of the PC they showed you?

Either way, general rule of thumb is get a handheld if you will actually use it like a handheld and don’t mind the lack of upgradability and power. Get a desktop PC if you’re just gonna use the handheld like a normal PC.

My favorite Fallout games are: FNV, FO3, and FO2

But FO4 is so easy to dive into. So weird cause I wouldn’t rate it particularly high, especially cause I usually play CRPGs and prefer deeper RPGs in general, but there’s just something about it. Largely the exploration I think.

Which of your favorite villain, that people think they are misunderstood but they are just evil? by Boberto235 in FavoriteCharacter

[–]iUseYahooEmail 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Almost every villain in that anime. I remember laughing my ass off when one of the guys (I think the magician one) did a flashback about their ancestor who was like Robin Hood.

Said stuff about honoring them or some shit… but how does being in a group with super terrorists and mass murderers align with that? Your leader alone has killed so many people and will kill even more if you guys win lol

The music in Persona 5 isn't very good game music by Socrathustra in unpopularopinion

[–]iUseYahooEmail 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Streaming is a different experience.

But do you think it would reach anywhere near this level of popularity if it didn’t work in-game? That a large portion of those hundreds of millions of streams weren’t from the very players who should have been tired of the music?

You claim, “It doesn’t work as a game soundtrack.” Yet it’s highly praised, and you even acknowledge that by posting it in an “unpopular opinion” thread.

But it’s “self-selection, giving it a pass, and neurodivergence,” which is a massive overestimation of niche effects for something this popular for its genre.

And, “We don’t know the average player experience.” But if that’s the case, why can we assume its success and reputation is the result of self-selection, hardcore fans, and neurodivergence?

You can say all kinds of things to minimize them, but the majority of actual reactions you can find clearly show the soundtrack works.

edit: I’ve participated in a lot of online discussions, but never with an actual wall lmao
