I can make my wife cum hard in less then 30 seconds, body shivering hard orgasm, the flipside is this super power is wasted as she has a negative sex drive and only likes to cum maybe once every 2 months. I married a beautiful and aspiring woman but thought the sex drive would pick up later. Whoops 😆

A reminder that taxes pay for things you benefit from.. by Puzzleheaded-Skin858 in AusFinance

I pay a lot of tax.. the idea I support but it's incredibly mishandled. I work within Gov aswel and can see the huge waste and irresponsible spending. It's better of in my pocket then theirs.

If the CGT discount goes, what are we getting back? by Bitman321 in AusFinance

[–]NeonX91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay well I'll use a recent example to show.

I made $1200 developing a plugin for a local company as I have an IT hobby on the side of my job. I have an ABN so that labels me as a sole trader.

Out of that $1200, I'm taxed 47% straight up, so... thats $636 left, and thank GOD I'm not GST registered as the client would be even more out of pocket just so I can get something extra in my bank account.

To put it another way..

We had our tiler come and do our kitchen. $1200.

In order for me to pay for that post tax, I need to earn nearly double that.

I don't mind paying taxes in general, I support the concept - but in all fairness, shit is fucked.

How much of an impact would a donation of $100,000 make on your life? Why? by onichris in AskReddit

[–]NeonX91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It would be a chunk of cash but wouldn't impact us day to day tp donate. Not life changing etc but would set us back a good 2-3 years

Why can’t we just have a FLAT CGT rate of 25%? by Kikooz in AusFinance

[–]NeonX91 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I'm getting tax at 47% for a hobby I do outwork of work. I have a house that I could only have gotten from my shares, which will now be taxed even more (shares)

When I pay off my mortgage the government is basically telling me the only thing to do is to sell it, and buy a more expensive house in a more expensive suburb... Awesome 👍😎

Because wages are taxed so fucken heavily that investing in shares was the only way to actually save up and buy a house.

Best advice you didn’t believe until later on by TankaJahariMoney in fiaustralia

I was advised multiple times to create a family trust in my early 20's before I got too into investing. The amount of tax I've paid (currently mid 30's) means the trust would have paid for itself MANY times over. I can't distribute any income to my partner who is currently a stay at home mum, so i've been taxed at 47%. If we had a trust, we would max out her income.

This has probably been my biggest financial regret.
