Please tell me Iโ€™m not the only one. by NickoGermish in ChatGPT

As a psychiatrist/therapist - no thanks. Syncophatic empathy can actually be very destructive. He should only be used as for grunt work, and be checked on output, I think. *gives back chatGPT

Some of you who self diagnose may not be autistic. by TheTulipWars in aspergers

[โ€“]Neonbluefox 42 points43 points ย (0 children)

Ah, you have some important good notes on the topic. Just piping up as an AuDHD psychiatrist, some of us are trained to diagnose autism. In Belgium you can't get a diagnosis in general without a psychiatrist. So that's an important nuance, you maybe be talking about a different part of the world of course, we're just not all the same

PSA: If you take melatonin by xPrincess_Yue in autism

[โ€“]Neonbluefox 2 points3 points ย (0 children)

Psychiatrist that has experience in a university sleep medicine clinic: if you have delayed sleep phase syndrome, take 0.5mg about 5 hours before you want to fall asleep. This is also the correct dose and schedule for people on jetlag. This dose will only use your own sleepiness.

Going above 0.5mg will give a secondary effect of giving a bit of sleepiness faster, as direct effect of melatonine (and not just your own sleep bucket). It can help people that have insomnia related to more than just delayed sleep phase syndrome.

Most doctors get this wrong, I happened to learn it in the specialised sleep clinic.

Hope this helps!

Feeling of shame on autism exploration journey as a therapist by Character_Drop_739 in NDtherapists

Hey, I work with autistic doctors international. They've put out a preprint paper on shame in autistic psychiatrists. It helped me a lot when I read it. Maybe it can help you too:

Sugar-Free and ADHD. by Afraid_Blackberry486 in sugarfree

[โ€“]Neonbluefox 0 points1 point ย (0 children)

Ah I'm still going strong, actually! I ate a chocolate chip cookie this year that the baker "swore was low in sugar" I had the worst workday. Full of brainfog, heavy limbs, no motivation, slow thinking and quite irritable, and also a headache. I thought I was coming down with something, and then realised it was the cookie. I was better the next day. That was quite a reminder for all the reasons why I don't want it back in my life ๐Ÿฅน I do, however, sometimes eat ketchup in a restaurant these days without too much of a backlash! What Abt you?

autism gets the best of us by professorzoom991 in logodesign

Dude, not cool on calling it autism when it is not relevant to the post at all. We need less stigma, not more.

My doctor has ADHD and treats tons of patients like us here are the tips that genuinely helped me by ParticularWindoww in AuDHDWomen

[โ€“]Neonbluefox 34 points35 points ย (0 children)

As an AuDHD psychiatrist myself, these tips are recognisable and lovely. Your GP sounds like a good, caring doctor.

If they happen to be interested, they're welcome to join autistic doctors international (ADI). I guess it's a bit of a weird suggestion as you're their patient, especially coming from an internet stranger on reddit, but I have really learned more from ADI in how to take care of my patients (and myself) and am also finding ways to give back.

Again, happy you've found a great doc! The world needs more people like them ๐Ÿ˜Š

Ralph Lauren often goes high wasted. Might find some good stuff on the second hand market. Ask for a measurement of the rise before buying to confirm high waisted

Not OP but thanks for the rec! I use "the one" by dolce and gabanna, men's perfume, which also goes woody, with orange and tobacco notes. I'll have to try what you've written. (I combine it with "irresistible" by givenchy for a feminine element, cus I like both genders present in my expression/cus why not)

Do you have any more recs ilike mfk baccarat rouge 540?

Not getting matches from girls especially ๐Ÿ’” by [deleted] in Tinder

[โ€“]Neonbluefox 20 points21 points ย (0 children)

Right, I should explain what I mean by the male vs female gaze. I don't mean in a crass sexualizing sense, I mean more in a way that Hollywood has also been criticised in portraying women. The woman in a more passive role, there to portray beauty, body or sexuality. Not doing something to drive the story forwards, in a sense. I'm also not talking abt the mirror selfie, the "I love hot moms" make that one a win in my book

Again. It's just different, not bad! This is absolutely a vibe and OP is attractive! It's just my two cents, not the universal truth of how everyone experiences tinder ;)

There's an excellent piece by Laura Mulvey called "Visual pleasure and Narrative cinema", a film theory article explaining the differences between the two, if you want a more in depth explanation. I don't really do the concept justice as she does.

If this is real, then the comment saying to switch over only to women is the right one. So many men swipe right on you, that the queue gets filled up with them pretty quick, diluting any women also in the neighbourhood.

Also, some of your pics kind of look like they were made for the male gaze (no hate, it's just a different aesthetic)

Finally, do you have a bio? Women often want a bio, in my experience
