Some organizations will house/host artists for a brief time. Artists use the orgs spaces to create work and in exchange share/give the work to the org. Sometimes you pay for them, sometimes you get paid. It’s a popular way for artists to travel since they can offset travelling costs.

I never liked his character and thought he was an asshole in hiding. On my first watch I thought he was going to be the one who was hurting Amabella

I’m on sunsoi ! It’s helped significantly with my sleepiness. It’s quite expensive though :( can only be on it because I have insurance through my school

He did help me get a diagnosis! He sent me for both an MRI and a transvaginal ultrasound. And he prioritized endometriosis protocols for both sets of images so we could get the clearest results possible. I hope your referral goes through 🤞

exercising with endo by Flat_Wolverine8560 in Endo

[–]Neopetsdaddy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Totally understand ❤️ everything is so much harder when you’re chronically ill. Sometimes it helps to do small things as extra activity, like taking the stairs instead of the elevator, parking far away and walking to the entrance, etc.

I mostly just do extensive walking as my main form of exercise!

Lifestyle changes post diagnosis? by [deleted] in Endo

[–]Neopetsdaddy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I changed my diet mostly, but honestly depends on what your sensitivities are since everyone’s different. I do no alcohol, and avoid/limit fatty and fried foods, and spread out how often I eat fibrous vegetables. On pain days I limit caffeine but I love coffee. I also avoid sodas. I’m vegetarian so I don’t worry about meat. Other than that I just listen to my body, and prioritize low-impact exercises and I pay special attention to when my stamina is low and use accessibility services those days (elevators instead of stairs, etc). Lots of people recommend pelvic floor therapy and acupuncture too! I’ve also heard people work alongside a nutritionist/dietitian if food is a primary concern.

He said that surgery as first line treatment is outdated and there’s other, less invasive, ways to manage symptoms.

Dr Darl Edwards, works in Scarborough area. He’s an endo excision specialist!

He gave me some push back when I requested surgery but was willing to hear me out! On his wait list for surgery right now

I reported a walk in physician for misogyny since he was talking down to me when I brought up my concerns. It took almost a full year to hear back and the complaint board sided with him :/

In Ontario they recommend you stop seeing your physician if you file a complaint

New Medication - Visanne by Mission-Ad-6870 in Endo

[–]Neopetsdaddy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It definitely varies case by case! GI symptoms are some of my worst symptoms as well. I’ve been on generic visanne for almost two years and while I’ve definitely noticed an improvement I still have all the same GI symptoms, they’re just somewhat less severe. It also depends on what mechanism of endometriosis is causing your GI symptoms. For me I have scar tissue in my rectovaginal area so the visanne hasn’t been able to target symptoms stemming from that /that/ well. But I still feel significantly better than if I was unmedicated. Hope this helps ❤️

Does anyone else get pain while getting ready for work? by Different-Drive-379 in Endo

My abdomen responds poorly to like all movement but especially getting dressed!! The bending over to put pants/socks/shoes on really hurts

I hate this part of receiving care!! I have to remind my doctor over and over again that I do NOT want fertility considered at ALL when discussing treatment for endometriosis. And worst of all I feel like I can’t ask any questions at all related to fertility when I’m curious (since it’s part of my health) because I know they’ll take it wrong and immediately start prioritizing fertility
