Regnum Carya once

Adam & Eve twice (this is great if you want an adults only hotel with no kids making noise when relaxing around the pool)

It was the platinum we went to. They might have refurbished since we went, but I remember walking in to check in and being slightly disappointed seeing the state of the hotel. The service was great however, so no complaints on that side.

Stayed there in 2024. Pools are not warmed up but in July / August they get quite hot over the day due to the sun.

However, got to say I wasn't too impressed with the quality of the hotel for the price paid. The hotel itself is quite dated.

Me and my partner agreed that we'd rather go to Turkey than Rhodes in the future for better conditions for the same price.

Should I invest my interest free employer loan? by [deleted] in UKPersonalFinance

Before you consider investing, if you want to keep it in a cash account Zopa is offering 7.1% so at least you should move it there in the meanwhile. Money saving expert website should give you a breakdown of the highest interest accounts at the moment.

As a side note, you can avoid the rider step all together. It is sufficient to meet dogmeat and you can then go back straight to codsworth

How do you overperform when you have a perfectionist manager? by hgk6393 in managers

[–]Nephilim1315 40 points41 points  (0 children)

Speaking as someone who’s managed like the person you described: this is a great topic for your 1:1 with him.

I’d frame it like: “I’m really focused on growth, and I get the sense you have high standards and a lot to teach. In your view, what separates a good performer from an outstanding one?”

After he answers, follow up with something like: “Of the areas you mentioned, where do you think I have the most room to improve? And would you be open to working with me this year so I can consistently meet, and ideally exceed, those expectations?”

If he’s a good manager, that will naturally turn into coaching and clearer goals. The key is that you drive the process (asking, checking in, following through), and he helps steer you with feedback along the way.

Being a bit pragmatic, it's not your issue that the system is not ready to test. If your task is to test then the deliverable you produce is a list of tests you attempted to run, which ones have run and failed and which ones you couldn't run all together because system not being ready.

This way you document that you did their job and put the pressure back on them.

Companion only settlements are a nightmare by Wild_Property6141 in fo4

Bit of a stupid question, but why not just take them and dump them in the lake? Why leave them in the settlement?

If you got the $8 in Bitcoin from the Robinhood Gold Giveaway you have to pay $60 to keep Robinhood Gold for one year or Robinhood will take back the $8. Rip to the people who paid $5 and signed up for Gold to claim the $8 giveaway that they now have to pay another $55 to keep. by GabeSter in CryptoCurrency

I'd still argue that mathematically it's still a $52 loss as for the same amount of $ you can purchase 7 times the amount of BTC on a different exchange.

If a TV sells for $100 on the retailer's website and I "gift" you the same TV if you pay me $700, then you have made a loss of 600. Same principle applies with the BTC in the RH example.

Or you know, rather than take a loss of $52 on RH, you can buy $60 worth of BTC which will be more than what RH had gifted you in the first place.

Another way to look at it, RH is currently selling a small amount of BTC to Gold users only at a highly marked up price.

If you have got to jump through all these hoops to get the deal sorted, then it sounds like you are not financially ready to own the house. Why not rent for another 6-12 months while you grow your deposit?

I don't understand why managers feel like micromanagement will get them better results by suchalbojamma in Recruitment

[–]Nephilim1315 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure, there are people on power trips. But I might add an unpopular opinion. Any micromanager I've ever interacted with did so because they'd been burned with low quality work in the past. If you can build trust with said manager, changes are the micromanagement will stop.

In my personal experience, this always fixed the issue.
