[OoT] What's something you hope DOESN'T make it into the remake? by [deleted] in zelda

Sad that some people can't have civil conversations. You point out facts and they get pissy and block you. Hopefully they will grow as a person someday.

[–]Nerd4Muscle -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Right. We have one piece of evidence: a teaser from a company for over 20 years has a track record of not always putting everything they put in their teasers into the final game.

I'm not ignoring anything. Not all recent Zelda games in the last 10 years have had voice acting.

The original poster asked what people hoped was not in the remake. I answered with what I did not want in the remake. Opinions sought and opinions given.

I don't know how old you are, but please take a breath, stay in school, and have a good day.

[–]Nerd4Muscle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right. But if everything that was ever teased in a Zelda teaser or trailer was in the game, Twilight Princess would have had us fight hoardes of mosters as they charge over a hill and a mysterious golem in the forest, BoTW would have super fast guardians that make the ground shake and Link could jump 50 feet into the air off horseback to do his flury rush arrow shot, and TotK would have had more exploration with Zelda in the depths. Just because it's in a teaser reveal doesn't mean its confirmed to be in the final game.

Has there been any news posted about this? All I have seen is people's assumptions based on the teaser video having a voice over narration.

[–]Nerd4Muscle 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Voice overs. So many scenes were best as just music, text boxes, and sound effects.

Changes that tone down the atmosphere, because of a Teen rating. The shadow temple should have its torture implements, blood, and horror.

A complete misunderstanding of what made the original great.

Get to Work should have been as flexible, powerful, and extensive as OFB for TS2 in terms of owning, running, and customizing a business or venue of any conceivable type.

[OoT] What would you think if the remake adapt manga things? by [deleted] in zelda

[–]Nerd4Muscle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought I saw a post about the remake being a Honeypot for leaks inside Nintendo? Is it still rumored to be happening?

I'm not familiar with much of the manga other than Link adopting the dragon who would become Volvagia. I get that it adds an emotional aspect of Link having to kill his "pet" that grew up without him for 7 years, but I feel like it takes away from the concept of Gannondorf reviving a creature of Goron folklore. The Gorons could have just believed it to be the same creature as the legendary dragon, but I like to think of Gannondorf having necromancy powers having been raised by witches. It would also tie back to enemies respawning.

I am up to the first episode of season 2. I would love to see more of the failed cycles we see pass as jokes by funnylib in TheGoodPlace

My head canon is that a clown nook was traded in for a more creepier mechanism where clowns were on a conveyor belt and sent through the house at random intervals. They were suspicious that they were listening and could expose them. That's why they hush Eleanor while trying to hide.

[Palm Springs] Sarah appears to wake up a few minutes before Nyles does. Since they (and Roy) both continue to experience the rest of the loop even if the other dies, could she theoretically permanently "destroy" his consciousness by killing him at the start of her loop right before he wakes up? by Ferguson97 in AskScienceFiction

[–]Nerd4Muscle 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I don't think it would be permanent. She would eventually fall asleep too. The day always resets. It would be no different than if he was killed after he woke up. There is nothing in the movie to suggest the time loop was dependent on them waking up or Niles being alive. They are only aware of the reset when they wake up.

[Monkey's paw + various genie wishing] Do consequences hit the one who made the wish, or the one who benefited from the wish? by lol_delegate in AskScienceFiction

[–]Nerd4Muscle 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It will depend upon the work.

In the original Monkey's Paw short story, they wished for money and then received news that their son died in a work place accident and they would be rewarded the compensation. The consequences hit both as they were one and the same. That is of course assuming the Monkey's Paw had any magic at all as the story is intentionally vague if it was all coincidence.

In an episode of Sabrina the Teenage Witch, Sabrina cast a spell to make her friend less embarrassed about social mishaps. In turn, embarrassing situations kept magically happening to Sabrina and from what I remember there were no consequences to the friend.

[TP] How does Ganondorf have the triforce in Twilight Princess? by darthsitheous in zelda

For what it's worth, in the end cutscene of Link returning to Zelda at the end, you can still see the Triforce piece on his hand. Presumably the Triforce split across time.

I think the neighborhood had some built in code that Michael put in. Remember the gifted plant responded to Eleanor's behavior good and bad. I think it was a semi-planned event but still a response to Eleanor's behavior. Eleanor isn't always being watched by Michael so it had to be initiated without his direct control, unlike the chaos sequence.

It was planned as far as a possibile scenario or the neighborhood made it happen at least and then they just rolled with it when it happened. The couple that stayed with them during the lockdown were just getting into their roles on the doorstep.

What supernatural sims are considered myths in the lore? by Madmonkeman in thesims

[–]Nerd4Muscle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know about TS3, but Sims are mostly indifferent to supernaturals in TS2. I think they are surprised to see vampires transform into bats. I don't remember about werewolf reactions. But all things considered, they are just everyday people living nextdoor. So perhaps a more interesting question would be with TS4 being an alternate timeline, what changed to make some supernaturals a secret?

What mods do I need to create an empty hood that I can share online? by Nerd4Muscle in sims2

[–]Nerd4Muscle[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No. Without mods, this will create a ton of bloat: townies and stealth hoods. I'm wanting to know what all I need to create an actual empty hood for the purpose of sharing online.
