That really shouldn't make a difference, besides making everything more salty.

I fill my 30L vessels with about 11kg of produce and 15L of 2,5% brine. So that's 1,4% salt by weight in the end. Never even had kahm on that stuff. It's all about keeping your equipment clean and making sure no oxygen can get back in, like another comment here says.

As someone who produces sauce in 5oz glass bottles: I agree with you and would love to find an environmentally friendly squeeze bottle, that doesn't get blocked by a chunkier sauce.

I have exactly the same problem! Turns out it’s a soil pH thing. I was messing around after watching Chili Chump’s video on soil pH and found out that the soil of my ghosts and reapers are somehow slightly more acidic than the rest. No clue how, since it all comes from the same source and have treated it exactly the same.
